Ray's Ramblins
Happy Wednesday to everybody!! On behalf of the Reopening Team consisting of Rodger Lofton, Harry Alvis, L.V. McGinty, Jay and Pam Collins, Susan Hancock, Mark Whitlow, Dr. Bill Bruce, Doug and Chrissy Shelton, John Sparks, and myself we have some very important information to give you.

Due to several issues, health concerns, and risk factors, the Reopening Team feels that in our best health and safety interest, the earliest in-person worship date be moved from Sunday, July 12 to Sunday, August 2. Please be aware that August 2 is a goal to work towards, but if certain factors arise, that date might be moved again.

We realize this news is disappointing, but we have the best team possible discerning all the health information that is available to us. As we promised from the very beginning, we want to keep you out of harm's way and to keep you safe and well. This pandemic is so fluid that everything must be taken into consideration.

Thank you for your patience with us. You have been very gracious and we thank you for all your prayers and encouragement. The support for us and for the church has been tremendous. You have shown your faithfulness and dedication to this church we all love so much. What we do is out of our love for you.

We will continue our live streaming services. We will also be finding some special ways to connect with you during the month of July as we pray the August 2 date will remain intact.

May God bless us all as we continue to navigate through these unprecedented times.

Hello everyone! Hope you are enjoying your summer so far.

Get excited! Here comes Wagon Wheel Bingo on Sunday, June 28th @ 6:00 pm in the Jefferson Street parking lot!!! I bet you're asking: “What is Wagon Wheel Bingo?” We will park everyone’s car like the spokes of a wagon wheel to keep socially distanced and play bingo with lots of fun prizes! We will hand each person a ziplock bag with their new disposable Bingo cards and beans to cover the cards. Pack up the kids, a few snacks, your trusty masks, and your lawn chairs to join the fun!

With Love,
Ms. Katherine

Ice Cream Social!

I know that some of you are still on lockdown/quarantine. I know that some of you are out of town, while others have soccer practice Wednesday afternoon BUT for the first time since March we are getting together and “HAVING YOUTH” (well in a way!)

We will be having an ice cream social at my house tonight, Wednesday, June 17th at 7:30 p.m. All youth and youth families (including younger siblings) are invited to come and stay and enjoy ice cream. I will provide the ice cream (which will be individually wrapped.). You just bring you, your family, masks, a lawn chair, and a drink. We will be and stay outside, unless the bathroom is needed. We will start at 7:30 and go until the last person leaves. This is simply a time for us to be together for the first time in about 15 weeks!

This is not the summer I had planned, but it’s what we have! I hope to see you tonight at 7:30 pm! Even if you have to come late, or can only stay a little while PLEASE come! We will be social distancing if that is a concern for you! If you or your student have not received the address, please text me and I will get that to you!

Much love!
-Randa

You may have seen The Upper Room daily devotional guides offered at Broadway. Those devotionals and other material are available through The Upper Room website and are a great daily connection with scripture and insight. Check it out here:
Thanks!
We continue to offer thanks for those who are offering time at home through prayer and staying connected with one another. Along with Broadway's staff, we all continue to find ways to connect through calls, texts, letters, online meetings, technology, and acts of kindness.

We are blessed to be a loving and caring church family who shares in prayer, in a Spirit-bound presence, through gifts, service, and witness. Thank you for all you do and who you are!
