"Neither do I condemn you. Go your way, and from now on do not sin again."
John 8:11
Jesus said to those who brought a woman caught in adultery, "Let anyone among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her." (John 8:7)
We all make mistakes, big and small, in life. And some can stigmatize us in our relationships with other people. Those stigmas label us as sinners, preventing us from fully loving ourselves and our neighbors. But, God loves us. And God came to this earth in a human body to show us that love. Jesus' life, death, and resurrection are the manifestation of that love.
As we go through this Lent season, I hope that we will all be fully immersed in that love. For us, Jesus took up the cross and took on all our sins. Jesus, who became the Passover Lamb, restores our relationship with God, with our neighbors, and ourselves.
"There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus."
Romans 8:1
May the love of everlasting God be with us all the time.
