“Do not remember the former things, or consider the things of old. I am about to do a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”
Isaiah 43:18-19
Becoming the church is choice to be a witness of a newness that God creates and recreates in our lives. By witnessing the newness of God, we participate in the new community that God has already created through Jesus Christ, the Church.
God always promises us that God will do a new thing in our lives. Although our lives seem like wilderness and desert, God will make God’s way and rivers in our lives.
Apostle Paul encouraged people in the church in Galatian to fulfill the law of Christ by bearing one another’s burdens. (Galatians 6:2) In the times of despair, pain, agony, and sufferings, let us pray for one another and stand firm together on God’s love and mercy as the church. God is creating new things in our lives.
May the steadfast love of God be with us all the time.
