It's almost time for the Upper Room Meal!

THIS SUNDAY, April 13 after worship in the Upper Room

The Upper Room has been transformed into the first-century home of Mary, Martha, and Lazarus who are looking forward to welcome Immanuel members and friends for our annual Upper Room Meal!

Guest storytellers have also been invited to share their stories about Jesus, including a disciple who watched Jesus still a storm (James Zager), a boy who shared his loaves and fishes (Chase Dominguez), and Joanna and Susanna (Ella and Violet Michalak). We'll also celebrate the Lord's Supper together to begin the journey into Holy Week.

Children and youth will be dismissed to Church School at the usual time during worship for a lesson on the Lord's Supper and to get into costumes. Shortly after worship, we will create a palm-waving procession through the Sanctuary to our own Upper Room for the event. This is a favorite Immanuel tradition to begin Holy Week and all are welcome!

Coming Up in Church School

The Story of Holy Week & Gift-making for Senior Partners

Children and youth will come to the Peaceable Kingdom with Rev. Larson to learn the stories of Holy Week, from Palm Sunday through Easter morning. Each class will then complete a special Easter activity or craft that the Deacons will share with Immanuel's senior partners.

After that, it's time to get into costume and get ready for the Upper Room Meal!

Wednesday Night Supper & Study

March 12-April 9, 6:00-8:00

Tonight is our last Soup Supper of the Lenten season. Immanuel's newly-appointed Transition Team will share a little about their work so far and start gathing input for the work that is ahead as we continue through our interim season.

Child care is not available this year, but children are still welcome to attend with their families and play quietly in the Cry Room. Quiet spaces will be available for children and youth who need to do any homework following supper and worship.

Our ongoing recruitment for an adult helper to join the Purple Room each Sunday continues. If you are a parent of a 1st-3rd grader, or just enjoy being with kids, please sign up to assist at least once this quarter.
