It's time for Creation Sunday!

Join us this Sunday to celebrate Mother Earth

Join us this Sunday for Creation Sunday to celebrate Mother Earth with IPC friends!

This year's Creation Sunday theme is all about celebrating the diversity across creation. We'll read God's Big Plan by Elizabeth Caldwell, which retells the story of Babel in Genesis, revealing God's design for a wonderfully diverse world.

After reading the story, we will cycle through "Creation Rotations" to explore the theme:

  • Create a personalized puzzle piece to add to our big group puzzle
  • Paint a pot and rocks for our new rock garden
  • Work together to build the Tower of Babel with marshmallows and toothpicks

After Church School all are welcome to join us on the patio (between the church and the Parish House) for more activities, planting in the church garden, and (of course) "dirt cake"!

Speaking of Dirt Cake...HELP NEEDED!

Fill out a survey from the Transition Team

Meet a member of the team each Sunday through the rest of the month

As part of Immanuel's season of interim ministry, a Transition Team was named to help the pastors and church leaders listen to the stories and hopes of the congregation as we discern our next chapter as a church.

The team has a survey that all Immanuel members and friends are invited to complete. The survey has three questions:

  1. How long have you been a member or friend at Immanuel?
  2. When have you felt proud to be part of the Immanuel "flock"?
  3. When have you felt like a "lost sheep" at Immanuel?

Members of the Transition Team will be in the back of the sanctuary every Sunday through May to receive survey responses.

A member of the team will also be in the Peaceable Kingdom to talk with parents, children, and youth. (A special survey has been created for children to complete with the help of an adult).

Please stop by either spot to fill out a survey and talk with a Transition Team member. Thank you for your participation in this important time of our life together!

Create a Mosaic Tile

Create your tile at church, or take it home to return later

Three mosaics are complete and we're hoping for a few more! Stop by the blue covered table in the Peaceable Kingdom and create your mosaic tile anytime between now and Pentecost.

Save the date for the Pentecost Party

Sunday, June 8

All are welcome to join us for the annual Pentecost Party! We'll celebrate the birthday of the church and remember our baptisms with a special celebration and light lunch following worship, thank our Church School teachers, and recognize our high school graduates. This is the last Sunday of the program year, we will also preview some summer opportunities.

Sign up information coming next week. Save the date!
