Principal's Message
On Tuesday, February 5, Guardian Angels School welcomed Kate and Anna Stacey as two “Principals for the Day!” This was an item that was part of the GA Parish Festival Bid and Buy. They enjoyed a wonderful day of experiencing what a typical day is like for me and had the opportunity to welcome students as they entered the building, participate in Angels on Air, visit classrooms, supervise lunch duty, observe teachers, end the day in prayer, and much more! They even made the decision that teachers can wear jeans at the end of this week! One of their duties was also to provide this week’s Principal’s Message for the Wednesday Herald and I asked them to write about why they like GA.
“What I like about GA is that we learn about math and reading. I like my friends because they are kind and helpful. I like GA because we learn about God. I like the teachers because they are nice and kind. I like GA because we get to make playdoh monsters.”
- Anna Stacey, 2 nd Grade

“What I like about GA is that we do writing and my teacher gets to bring in her dogs. I like being principal for the day and turning in dojos to get passes. I like going to mass and I like playing volleyball and basketball. I like catholic schools week. I like my teacher because she is nice. I like when we get to eat in the classroom and when we go to recess.”
- Kate Stacey, 3 rd Grade

All Enrollment Now Open
We opened enrollment to all families, new and current, at our Open House Sunday. Thank you to all the families who took advantage of our early re-enrollment period for current families.
If you have not re-enrolled your children for the 19-20 school year, please remember this is a two-step re-enrollment process.
  • First, you will complete an electronic form through Administrator’s Plus Online Forms that can be accessed from the email you received last Friday. This step must be completed for each child you are enrolling.
  • Second, you must also complete a payment which includes registration and technology fees. The payment for these combined fees will be collected through the WeShare payment site.
The email you received January 18th from Bob Buck included instructions and links to the Administrator’s Plus Online Forms and the WeShare payment site. Both re-enrollment steps must be completed for full registration into next school year.

The preschool process is separate from the KDG-8 th grade process. If you are re-enrolling in preschool and KDG-8, you will need to fill out online re-enrollment forms for all of your returning students using Administrator’s Plus Online Forms and then make two payments at the WeShare payment site: one for your re-enrolling student(s) in preschool and one for your re-enrolling student(s) in KDG-8 th grade. Also, if you are a current family registering a new student in any grade level, a new student registration packet can be found through the school website or in the school office.
Art News
Thank you to everyone who came to our K-5 Catholic Schools Weekend Art Show. Families, parishioners, and grandparents were able to view so many creative projects and framed art. The students and Mrs. Pavely appreciate your presence and support of our Artome framed art sale. We raised over $600 for new art supplies! Thanks also to the volunteers who came through on short notice including: Becky Tiefenbach, Jaime Schlenck, Anne Keefe, Melissa Busse, Amy Armstrong-Smith, Paula Mack, Bridget Fesenmeier, Margaret Dunn, and teachers Marianne Glassmeyer, Donna Hacker, Bob Buck and Donna Sarky. Thank you!
Note from the Nurse's Office
Medication at school:  If your child needs medication at school, please send it in the original container/packaging along with the GA medication administration form. We are happy to have a student's medicine available for when it is needed, but in order for us to administer the medication safely, we need to be able to verify that we are giving the correct medication, and dose, in addition to making sure the medication has not expired. For this reason, we cannot accept medicine in plastic baggies.
Thank you for helping us keep your angels safe!

While it seems hard to believe with the snow on the ground, spring weather and outside activities are just around the corner. Please go to the GA Boosters website to register your son or daughter for track this spring. Track is a great activity for kids of all athletic abilities, and works as a great compliment sport for kids playing another sport or two. We’re hoping to have enough kids this year for GA to field its own team instead of combining with another school. We were really close to having enough last year. So have your kids gather their friends and sign-up for a fun activity this spring. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Toby Schisler .

You can now support Guardian Angels Parish when you shop at Amazon.com! GA is a newly registered participant in the AmazonSmile Program. You can  sign-up  to have a portion of your purchase sales come back to Guardian Angels. When you make purchases through the AmazonSmile page, and have GA selected as your beneficiary, the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price of eligible products back to GA.  You have to be shopping from smile.amazon.com page of the site for us to receive the benefit.
Kroger Community Rewards
Have you signed up for Kroger Community Rewards and designated GA as your beneficiary? The more families who register, the more money our school receives through the program. Register your rewards card  online  and select Guardian Angels as your beneficiary. You can search for GA or use our NPO number, 80200. The amount Guardian Angels receives depends on the points our supporters rack up while grocery shopping. Enrolling does NOT impact the points you use to redeem for discounts at the pump.c
