Principal's Message
Open House is scheduled for January 27 ! We encourage all current and prospective families to attend this showcase event! Please encourage any family member, friend, co-worker, etc. who may be interested in Guardian Angels School to also attend. The Open House will kick off Catholic Schools Week, which is our devoted time to celebrate our wonderful school and faith through many exciting events!

Open House will also serve as our start date for accepting new registrations to Guardian Angels School for preschool through 8th grade. We anticipate an exceptionally strong response for all programs, especially in preschool. Anticipating this, we are opening re-enrollment and registration of new students with siblings currently enrolled at GA this week, beginning on Friday . You will receive an email from Bob Buck, Technology Coordinator, to assist in this process. In order for registration to be complete, all families must go through a two-step re-enrollment process.
  • First, you will complete an electronic form through Administrator’s Plus Online Forms that can be accessed from the email you receive on Friday from Mr. Buck. This step must be completed for each child you are enrolling
  • Second, you must also make a payment which includes registration and technology fees. The payment for these combined fees will be collected through the WeShare payment site.
The email you receive on Friday from Bob Buck will have further instructions and links to the Administrator’s Plus Online Forms and the WeShare payment site. Both re-enrollment steps must be completed for full registration into next school year.

The preschool registration process is separate from the kindergarten through eighth grade registration process. If you are re-enrolling children in preschool AND kindergarten through eighth grade, you will need to fill out online re-enrollment forms for all of your returning students using Administrator’s Plus Online Forms AND then make two payments at the WeShare payment site: one to cover the registration fee for your re-enrolling student(s) in preschool and one payment for the registration and technology fees for your re-enrolling student(s) in K-8. Also, if you are a current family registering a new student in any grade level, a new student registration packet can be found through the school website or in the school office. I strongly encourage all families to have new registrations complete before we open registration to new families on January 27.

God Bless,
Corey

Financial Assistance Available Through the Archdiocese

This year, 2 million dollars will be distributed to families of elementary school students for the 2019-2020 school year. To learn more and apply, please visit http://catholicbestchoice.org/k-8-tuition-information/ All families who plan to apply for financial assistance from Guardian Angels must first apply for assistance from this source. Reminders
Box Tops Collections
The Guardian Angels PTA is collecting Box Tops from various consumer products. GA students can submit Box Tops to their homeroom teachers and all parishioners can drop off Box Tops in the special collection envelope located on the bulletin board in the Church Gathering Space. The Box Tops are picked up at the following dates:  January 25, February 25, March 22, and May 19.
We use the funds earned to purchase indoor recess games and outdoor recess equipment. Please start collecting Box Tops today and help us make this year even more successful!
Cookie Ministry
Guardian Angels School Cookie Ministry teams up with the Parish Parish Peanut Butter group to feed families in need. The Peanut Butter group makes 1,500 peanut butter and bologna sandwiches. GA students donate cookies. St. Francis Seraph Church in Over-the-Rhine gives the food to families in need. Students are asked to bring in two dozen cookies, brownies, or rice krispie bars on their classroom's designated day. They do need to be bagged, two treats per bag. All kindergarten classes are responsible for the next donation on Tuesday, January 22nd. A   complete schedule for the school year is attached.   .
School Calendar
Looking for more information about upcoming events at GA? You can find a calendar in your Rediker Parent Portal. Log into your account, then click on the Calendar on the blue navigation bar. The calendar shows school events, parish events, and much more. Just a reminder, events posted on the school website, www.gaschool.org , only include those open to the public or new families who may not have activated a Rediker account yet. All other event information is posted in Rediker, which is password protected.
Amazon Shopping to Support GA
You can now support Guardian Angels Parish when you shop at Amazon.com! GA is a newly registered participant in the AmazonSmile Program. You can  sign-up  to have a portion of your purchase sales come back to Guardian Angels. When you make purchases through the AmazonSmile page, and have GA selected as your beneficiary, the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price of eligible products back to GA.  You have to be shopping from smile.amazon.com page of the site for us to receive the benefit.
Kroger Community Rewards
Have you signed up for Kroger Community Rewards and designated GA as your beneficiary? The more families who register, the more money our school receives through the program. Kroger Community Rewards offers a great way for you to support our school's technology fund...and you don't have to spend a penny. Register your rewards card  online  and select Guardian Angels as your beneficiary. You can search for GA or use our NPO number, 80200. The amount Guardian Angels receives depends on the points our supporters rack up while grocery shopping. Enrolling does NOT impact the points you use to redeem for discounts at the pump.c
