Principal's Message
As we enter the final weeks of the 2018-2019 school year, there are a few changes to our staff to announce. First, I have accepted the resignation of Bob Buck, technology coordinator. Bob recently earned his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership at Xavier University and has accepted a position with Cincinnati Public Schools as he pursues a public school leadership position. Please join me in wishing him well as he continues his journey! He will serve in his current role at Guardian Angels through the summer.

I have also accepted the resignation of Emily Feldman, ½ day preschool teacher & director effective at the conclusion of this school year. Emily has accepted a part time position at Kilgour Elementary School, where her daughters attend. As our preschool continues to expand we will be seeking a full-time teacher at the Pre-K level. Please join me in thanking Emily, as she has been an integral part to our preschool expansion!

Finally, I am excited to announce that Chrissy Waleskowski has accepted the full-time Physical Education position beginning with the 2019-2020 school year at Guardian Angels! Chrissy has done a tremendous job as she assumed the P.E. teaching position in January. She is student centered and promotes a positive and productive learning environment.

God Bless,

That night we'll have two special events in the Parish Center: our annual Spring Concert and an Art Exhibit by 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. Mr. Diehl, Mrs. Leach, and Mrs. Pavely have been working hard with students and are so proud of their effort and talent for this special celebration. We hope everyone can attend. The Art Exhibit can be viewed throughout the day on Thursday and until noon on Friday, in addition to the time before and after the Spring Concert.

Book Swap in the Library
To keep all our kiddos reading throughout the summer, the GA Library will be having another “Book Swap” May 13-24 . Clean off those home bookshelves and bring in gently used books to the library to trade for new books for summer! Please make sure the books are appropriate for our school and in good condition. There is no limit on the number brought into school. For every book brought in, students will receive a ticket to trade in for another book.  We would like to have books brought in to the library by Friday, May 10 , but we will be accepting books through the next 2 weeks. Any leftover books will be donated.

Deacon Christian Cone-Lombarte to be Ordained a Priest May 18th
Dear parishioners of Guardian Angels,

As you may know, Cincinnati’s Ordinations are fast approaching. The time since the beginning of my internship here at Guardian Angels has flown by for me, due in no small part to the privilege I’ve had of being involved here at the parish. I have been very happy to share these past couple of years with this community and I hope you know that you will all continue to be in my prayers as I begin my priestly ministry.

Of course, all of you are welcome to attend the Ordination Mass, which will take place at the Cathedral of St. Peter in Chains in downtown Cincinnati on Saturday, 18 May , at 11:00 am. As there will be nine of us being ordained for Cincinnati, I suspect it will be crowded: plan on being there early if you come!

I also wanted to invite all of you to assist at my first Solemn Mass of Thanksgiving, which I will be offering here at Guardian Angels the next day, Sunday, 19 May, at 12:00pm . I am very excited to be able to offer this Mass here, and I hope you can make it! There will be a light reception afterward at which I will be happy to offer first blessings as well.

Until then, please continue to keep me in your prayers as I will keep you in mine.

Yours in Christ,
Deacon Christian Cone-Lombarte
Shoe Drive This Week
During the week of May 13 – 17 we will be holding a shoe drive for an organization called Water Step. Water Step is an organization that takes donated shoes in good condition and sell them to raise money to go towards building wells in Africa for those who have no water source. They also provide safe water solutions to areas impacted by disaster, as well as arm first-responders and survivalists with the equipment and knowledge to support those in need. If the shoes are not in good enough condition, the organization will recycle them. So, we encourage you to clean out your closets and bring in any old shoes you do not plan on using. There will be bins around the school for each grade to collect shoes; there will also be a bin in the parish center for parishioners to use.
Volunteers Needed for GA Field Day on May 24th
