Principal's Message
Congratulations to our graduating class of 2019! This evening, 55 students will graduate from Guardian Angels School and begin new adventures and journeys. This class has brought so much joy and excitement to our school over the years and will be deeply missed by all. Please join me in congratulating them, and asking for God’s guidance over them as they continue to grow and develop. Thank you to our graduates for all you have given our school and parish.

Also, congratulations to our head servers for the 2019-2020 school year: Wes Brokamp, Christian Burt, Grace Fechtel, Nick Gerrard, Jack Heikenfeld, and Thomas Keefe. May God bless them as they take on this honored role in our community.

God Bless,

Book Swap Wraps Up Friday
To keep all our kiddos reading throughout the summer, the GA Library will be having another “Book Swap” May 13-24 . Clean off those home bookshelves and bring in gently used books to the library to trade for new books for summer! Please make sure the books are appropriate for our school and in good condition. There is no limit on the number brought into school. For every book brought in, students will receive a ticket to trade in for another book.  We would like to have books brought in to the library by Friday, May 10 , but we will be accepting books through the next 2 weeks. Any leftover books will be donated.
Volunteers Needed for GA Field Day on Friday
Lace up those gym shoes and come on out to our annual GA Field Day on Friday, May 24th from 9:00am – 11:30am. You will have plenty of time to skip on over to the GA Golf Outing after field day! Current 7th graders will do a lot of the dirty work for you; we just need some adult supervision at stations and a few parents to oversee groups.  Click here to sign-up to volunteer or donate supplies. Thanks in advance for your time. If you have any questions please email Chrissy Waleskowski .
End of the Year Reminders From the Health Room
Thank you to all of you who sent in medication for your children this school year. Unfortunately, we are unable to keep the medication for use in the next school year. For safety reasons, we require all medication be picked up by a parent or guardian at the conclusion of the school year.

Health forms are found on the school website . If you know you will be sending prescription medication in with your child next year, you may print off the “Administration of Medication by School Personnel” authorization form and have it signed by your healthcare provider this summer. (This includes emergency medication.) If you plan to send in new over-the-counter medication for your children in the fall; the same form is used, but only a parent signature is required.

Seventh Grade Immunizations
A reminder, the state of Ohio now requires two vaccines before students enter seventh grade, one dose of Dtap and one dose of Meningococcal (MCV4) vaccine. Thank you to all of you who have returned your child's immunization documentation. If any further documentation is required for your child, we have sent home letters with specific documentation required for him/her. We realize some of you will have appointments over the summer and hope this will be helpful.

Please feel free to contact me at any time.

Elizabeth Pyles 624.2191
Thank you again for a great year; have a safe and fun summer. It has been our privilege to care for your children.
Last Day of School
Our last day of school is scheduled for Friday, May 31 . Bus service will be available in the morning, but there will be no bus transportation for dismissal. All students must be picked up from school. Beginning this year, we will officially conclude the school year at Mass with the circle song. There will not be a closing ceremony afterwards. Students will be released directly from Mass. They will not need their backpacks or other materials on the last day. All items, including report cards, will be sent home on Thursday.
Bus Form Needs Completed by June 30th
Students who live in the Forest Hills School District and take the bus to school must complete a new transportation request form each year. The form is attached and due by the end of June. It must be returned to FHSD, not to GA. The mailing address is listed on the form.
Summer Math Books
Each student currently in grades K-7 will receive a Summer Solutions Math book to complete over the summer break. Books will be distributed to students on the final day of school. Each book costs $15 and is a requirement for all students to complete. Please begin sending in the $15 payment as soon as possible to your child's homeroom teacher.
Families with new students beginning the 2019-2020 school year, please contact the school office for their summer books .

2019 Fall Golf for Boys & Girls
Golf is in full swing with spring here and it is time to register for the Fall 2019 Golf season!  Registration is available online for boys and girls for incoming 6th-8th grades. Golfers need to have a knowledge of the game (etiquette, general rules, own clubs, etc.) and minimally play over the summer on par 3 courses (Little Miami, Lunken, etc.). Beginning in August, practices will be held on Saturday mornings at Little Miami Golf Center and practice will consist of range time, putting green time and then play on the Par 3.  Please note, parents are expected/needed to help monitor practice when their child is on the par 3 course in order to maintain pace of play, keep players out of harms way and help reinforce good golf habits.  Golf matches will be on weekdays August through early October.
There are many great junior programs (Little Miami Golf Center, Lunken Golf Course, etc.) over the summer and players are encouraged to participate to support their golf development from local PGA professionals. Please contact Paul Steinhaus to learn more about GAs golf program and/or summer jr. programs.
