Recognizing Our Amazing Teachers!
Everyone knows that Guardian Angels boasts some of the most amazing teachers and staff members! Each week, we want to recognize two of them and shower them with love and appreciation. This week we celebrate our 2nd Grade Teacher, Sarah Goins, and our 7th Grade Teacher, Margaret Dorson-King.
| | We are thrilled to welcome Sarah as a first-year teacher this year. She has done an outstanding job adapting to her new classroom and establishing a safe and nurturing environment for her students. Sarah's willingness to collaborate with her colleagues ensures that her students receive the support they need. Her positive outlook on her students' abilities is truly inspiring. Thank you, Sarah, for seeing the best in each student. | | Margaret is a teacher who truly represents the spirit of our school. She embodies everything we value and aspire to see in an educator. Margaret is an integral part of our community and junior high, and her students love her for making Social Studies come alive with activities like Decades Day. Thank you, Margaret, for bringing your curriculum to life with such passion and dedication. | | Please join us in recognizing and celebrating these two outstanding GA staff members. You can leave a kind note here. Notes, cards, emails, flowers, gift cards, etc. are always appreciated! | | |

Dismissal Safety Reminder
If you park near the buses on the playground during dismissal, please refrain from walking between them. This is a major safety concern due to limited visibility. Please walk to and from the school by proceeding to the end of the row along the silver gates.

Congratulations, Ella Nappi, on participating in the Ohio Music Educators Association District 14 Honor Band!
Ella Nappi, 8th grade, participated in Ohio Music Educators Association District 14 Honor Band last weekend. The students worked for several days in rehearsals and performed their concert on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at West Clermont High School to a packed auditorium. Students from public and private schools in Hamilton and Clermont counties were members of the ensembles.
Ella plays clarinet, and she prepared an audition in December. She was accepted and awarded the second-highest chair in the 8th grade clarinet section. We are so proud of Ella! Congratulations!

SSO Training Update
Over Christmas Break, our SSO, Ron Fuller, hosted an Active Threat Response training at McNicholas for other school safety personnel and active law enforcement officers.
The group worked on new tactical techniques and applied them to scenario-based exercises. This helps improve safety on campus and ensures best practices are being shared.
We are so grateful to Mr. Fuller for taking the time and initiative to host this opportunity for those in our community that help keep our GA family safe.

Great News for Anyone Who Pays Ohio Income Tax and Supports Guardian Angels
We have many students at Guardian Angels who benefit from scholarships provided by the Catholic Education Foundation (CEF). Ohio taxpayers who donate to the CEF may be able to claim a dollar-for-dollar, non-refundable tax credit on their state income tax return, up to $750 per donor. For more information, click here.
We hope you consider a donation before the end of the year and choose "Guardian Angels School (Cincinnati)(C00160)" from the drop-down when prompted.
Parishioner and tax expert, Brien Dulle, is donating. Here's what he had to say. "Supporting the CEF is a no-brainer for me for two reasons. As a graduate of GA that is also sending my daughters to the school, I want to invest in the education that our children receive. Secondly, there's no extra money out of pocket since I can claim a dollar-for-dollar Ohio tax credit."

Partner with the PTA
Calling all local businesses and organizations! The GA Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is looking for community partners to help us create meaningful opportunities for our students and families. Consider partnering with the PTA as a sponsor or hosting a giveback!
Giveback: a pre-defined event set by the PTA and your company where we market your company to our community of families and encourage attendance and a portion of proceeds from sales at the company are given back to the PTA.
-
Examples: Restaurant night where a % of sales supports the PTA, retail shop donating a portion of weekend sales, service-based business offering a special PTA promotion.
Sponsorship: a strategic partnership with the PTA where a company provides financial support in exchange for visibility and brand promotion at highly attended PTA events!
-
Benefits may include: your company logo placement on event signage and flyers; recognition in school newsletters and social media; direct connection with hundreds of local families.
How to Learn More/Express Interest:
- Fill out this survey (https://forms.gle/M3eTtvB6uRPmdX2a7) if you think your company would be interested in a potential partnership with GA!
- Questions?: Contact Emily Keller (eegreenwood@icloud.com)
