Principal's Message

The first trimester for the 2023-2024 school year ended last Friday! It has already been a year full of positive engagement, academic successes, spiritual development, and so much more! I look forward to watching our angels continue to grow throughout the rest of the school year, earning their HALOs each day.

We are also very active in preparing for the 2024-2025 school year! Our preschool Open House on Monday was highly attended, with many families eager to enroll in our school! Our KDG-3rd grade Informational Coffee is scheduled for Friday, and we will be hosting a KDG-8 grade evening Informational Coffee after Thanksgiving break. Personal tours with prospective families are also occurring very frequently. All indications point to another year of strong enrollment with many of our grade levels being at capacity!

Our currently enrolled families will have priority in re-enrolling their current children and registering new students for next year.

All current students will automatically be re-enrolled for the 24-25 school year on Friday, November 17th. To guarantee placement in the upcoming grade level, families will just have to pay the registration fee through this link. On Monday, November 20th, all current families will be able to register new students in preschool-8th grade. A registration link will be sent via email for families to complete this process.

Current families will have through December 8th to pay their re-enrollment registration fee for their current students and register any new students. On December 11th, we will begin accepting new student registrations from other active parishioner families. On January 8, 2024, registration will open for all prospective students. Please know that many of our grade levels are already at capacity for next year!

I look forward to the return of all our angels for the 2024-2025 school year! For any questions related to the admissions process, please contact Cindy Sizemore.

God bless,

Corey

Last Wednesday Herald Until After Thanksgiving

There will not be a Wednesday Herald on November 22nd due to the Thanksgiving Break. Our next Wednesday Herald will go out on November 29th.

Join Us in Funding Future Angels This Giving Tuesday

Guardian Angels is Family. We, as parishioners of Guardian Angels Parish, grow together through the community that is unique only to GA. This community is deeply committed to growing our legacy through the next generation of Catholics devoted to living their faith. One way we do this is through our parish’s largest ministry, Guardian Angels School.

Our school has provided our Angels a magnificent place to grow for more than 120 years. Students leave our school with a strong Catholic core and are ready to compete with the top learners in a competitive academic world. Every year, we strive to provide a top-notch education for all of our families.

Guardian Angels is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for our students to flourish. We are determined to continue Funding Future Angels. Our plan to accomplish this in the coming years includes enhancing our STEM makerspace and making improvements to our school campus and facilities.

We are asking for your help to make these projects happen. This will be our school’s single largest fundraiser for the year.

Consider supporting Guardian Angels School on Giving Tuesday!

Giving Tuesday is the week after Thanksgiving; it’s a movement to encourage people to give back to their own community. This year, we hope you give back to our Guardian Angels community as we participate in this Giving Tuesday Campaign on November 28th.

Be on the lookout for an email on November 28th with a specific link to donate to this one-day fundraising campaign. Donations made on November 28th, through our online platform, will not be assessed by the Archdiocese, meaning your entire donation stays with Guardian Angels. Offline donations (cash or checks) or donations made on a different day are not included in this assessment waiver.

Cold Weather Uniform

Our cold weather uniform policy runs from December 1st through February 29th. Boys in grades KDG-6 must wear pants. Girls in grades KDG-6 must wear ankle length leggings or tights in solid blue, black, or gray, or pants. This policy only applies to students in grades KDG-6.

Re-enrollment for the 2024-2025 School Year

Our currently enrolled families will have priority in re-enrolling their current children and registering new students at Guardian Angels. All current students will automatically be re-enrolled for the 24-25 school year on Friday, November 17th. To guarantee placement in the upcoming grade level, families will just have to pay the registration fee through this link.

Next school year, we will have one fee per family instead of breaking fees into separate categories and having different amounts based on the number of students in a family. All families in KDG-8 will now have a single $250 registration fee and preschool families will have a $200 registration fee. The technology fee and FACTS fee will now be rolled into the one registration fee.

Current families will have through December 8th to re-enroll their current students. Beginning December 11th, we will begin accepting new student registrations from other active parishioner families. On January 8th, registration will open for all prospective students. Please know that many of our grade levels are already at capacity for next year!

Congratulations, Nora Braukman!

Congratulations and good luck to Nora Braukman, who has earned the honor to perform as a member of the May Festival Youth Chorus in the Holiday Pops concert series at Cincinnati Music Hall on December 8th.

Nora will perform alongside the esteemed musicians of the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra. Membership in the May Festival Youth Chorus is awarded by audition to signers in grades 8-12 from throughout the Cincinnati region. Participation in the May Festival Youth Chorus demonstrates Nora's exceptional talent!

Great news for anyone who pays Ohio income tax and supports Guardian Angels

We have many students at Guardian Angels who benefit from scholarships provided by the Catholic Education Foundation (CEF). Ohio taxpayers who donate to the CEF may be able to claim a dollar-for-dollar, non-refundable tax credit on their state income tax return, up to $750 per donor. For more information, click here.

We hope you consider a donation before the end of the year and choose "Guardian Angels School (Cincinnati)(C00160)" from the drop-down when prompted.

Parishioner and tax expert, Brien Dulle, is donating. Here's what he had to say. "Supporting the CEF is a no-brainer for me for two reasons. As a graduate of GA that is also sending my daughters to the school, I want to invest in the education that our children receive. Secondly, there's no extra money out of pocket since I can claim a dollar-for-dollar Ohio tax credit."
