Principal's Message

This is the final Wednesday Herald before the Christmas break, and I would like to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude. Thank you for sharing your children—the heart and joy of Guardian Angels School—with us each day. It is a true blessing to partner with you in helping them grow spiritually, academically, and personally. Your trust in our mission, support of our teachers, and commitment to our community make GA the special place it is.

As we enter this holy season, I wish all of our families a joyous and grace-filled Christmas, celebrating the coming of our Lord, Jesus Christ. May His presence bring your homes peace, hope, and comfort during these sacred days.

Enjoy this time of rest and celebration with your loved ones. I look forward to welcoming all of our Angels back on Tuesday, January 6, ready to begin the new year together.

God Bless,

Corey Stoops

Action Required: Re-enrollment for the 2026-2027 School Year

Thank you to the families who have finalized re-enrollment for the 2026-2027 school year! Again, many classes will be at capacity next year, especially in the primary grades. All current families must finalize their enrollment and pay their registration fee to be included in our class rosters for next year.

Cold Weather is Here!

Students should plan to bring in coats, gloves, and hats as we will go outside for recess unless there is extreme cold or rain/snow.

Safety Reminder on Alcore Terrace

Our neighbors who live on Alcore Terrace have contacted us about cars speeding when they exit campus onto Alcore Terrace. Please be mindful of all speed limits on and around campus to ensure the safety of our students and neighbors.

Great News for Anyone Who Pays Ohio Income Tax and Supports Guardian Angels

We have many students at Guardian Angels who benefit from scholarships provided by the Catholic Education Foundation (CEF). Ohio taxpayers who donate to the CEF may be able to claim a dollar-for-dollar, non-refundable tax credit on their state income tax return, up to $750 per donor. For more information, click here.

We hope you consider a donation before the end of the year and choose "Guardian Angels School (Cincinnati)(C00160)" from the drop-down when prompted.

Parishioner and tax expert, Brien Dulle, is donating. Here's what he had to say. "Supporting the CEF is a no-brainer for me for two reasons. As a graduate of GA that is also sending my daughters to the school, I want to invest in the education that our children receive. Secondly, there's no extra money out of pocket since I can claim a dollar-for-dollar Ohio tax credit."

Thanks for the Donations & Cookies

Thank you so much to all the families for the delicious cookie donations made last week. The GA teachers and staff enjoyed filling their cookie boxes with the variety of treats. They were blown away by the generosity and time families put forth making these homemade treats. We love to show the teachers and staff how grateful we are for them. Thank you for being part of the GA community!

365 Lotto

The 365 Lotto is one of the PTA's biggest fundraisers and also gives you the opportunity to win over $25,000 in cash prizes! Funds raised from the 365 Lotto are being used to update the health room and intervention learning spaces. We encourage all families to participate in this fundraiser.

An envelope with lotto tickets and information came home last week with the youngest or only child in each family. The 365 Lotto tickets are $20 each (cash or check) and there are only a limited number of tickets sold.

All tickets turned in by Friday, December 12th will be entered in a drawing to win cash and gift card prizes. These lucky winners will be announced on Angels On Air on Monday, December 15th.

All participating families returning sold and unsold tickets by December 16th may send their child(ren) in an out of uniform top and approved uniform bottoms on Wednesday, December 17th.

Please turn in all sold and unsold tickets by Friday, December 19th.

If you have any questions or need additional tickets, please contact Melissa Clissold at mmelisk@yahoo.com.

Thank you for supporting the GA PTA!

Partner with the PTA

Calling all local businesses and organizations! The GA Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is looking for community partners to help us create meaningful opportunities for our students and families. Consider partnering with the PTA as a sponsor or hosting a giveback!

Giveback: a pre-defined event set by the PTA and your company where we market your company to our community of families and encourage attendance and a portion of proceeds from sales at the company are given back to the PTA.

  • Examples: Restaurant night where a % of sales supports the PTA, retail shop donating a portion of weekend sales, service-based business offering a special PTA promotion.

Sponsorship: a strategic partnership with the PTA where a company provides financial support in exchange for visibility and brand promotion at highly attended PTA events!

  • Benefits may include: your company logo placement on event signage and flyers; recognition in school newsletters and social media; direct connection with hundreds of local families.

How to Learn More/Express Interest:

  1. Fill out this survey (https://forms.gle/M3eTtvB6uRPmdX2a7) if you think your company would be interested in a potential partnership with GA!
  2. Questions?: Contact Emily Keller (eegreenwood@icloud.com

Cookie Ministry

Students are asked to bring in two dozen cookies, brownies, or rice krispie bars on their classroom's designated day. Treats need to be bagged, with two treats per bag. Donations of juice boxes and prepackaged snacks are also needed. All 1st grade classes are responsible for the next donation on Tuesday, January 6th. A complete schedule for the school year is attached.

Kroger Community Rewards

Have you signed up for Kroger Community Rewards and designated GA as your beneficiary? The more families who register, the more money our school receives through the program. Kroger Community Rewards offers a great way for you to support our school's technology fund and you don't have to spend a penny. You can search for GA or use our NPO number, 80200. The amount Guardian Angels receives depends on the points our supporters rack up while grocery shopping.

Bulletin Advertising Available

Our bulletin publisher is looking for new advertisers and sponsors. Thanks to our sponsors, the bulletin is published weekly at no cost to our parish. Please consider purchasing an ad. Your ad and participation make the bulletin successful, and you attract customers! If interested, please email Sherry Montell or call/text her at 614-301-7444.

Advertisements and sponsorships can be purchased for a business, family, charity, in Honor or in Memory of a Loved One, or to support the church or a community service organization, such as Big Brothers/Big Sisters. We appreciate your support.
