Congratulations to the many students who earned the Angel Award for the first trimester! These students were recognized at our recent pep rally and were entered into a raffle for some very nice prizes! Many pictures of students who won the prizes are included below. Please encourage your children to work hard every day with their behavior so they can earn their daily positive behavior points! Recognizing Our Amazing Teachers!

Everyone knows that Guardian Angels boasts some of the most amazing teachers and staff members! Each week, we want to recognize two of them and shower them with love and appreciation. This week we celebrate our Art Teacher, Annie Doahue, and our Maintenance Supervisor, Art Ecker.

We are deeply grateful to Annie for her remarkable ability to transform students into artists. She draws out the creative potential in each one, guiding them to create masterpieces. Her encouragement and insight into each student's unique talents help them truly shine. Thank you, Annie, for your dedication and impact on our students.

Art's unwavering dedication and tireless commitment is unmatched. He is always the first to arrive and the last to leave, ensuring our campus is flawless for our students and that our teachers have everything they need. Thank you, Art, for consistently going above and beyond.

Please join us in recognizing and celebrating these two outstanding GA staff members. You can leave a kind note here. Notes, cards, emails, flowers, gift cards, etc. are always appreciated!

Re-Enrollment Deadline

The deadline for re-enrollment for our current families, along with registration of new students of our current families, this Friday, December 5. Registration for all prospective families opens on December 9. We will likely be full, with a waiting list, at all grade levels below junior high. It is imperative that current families re-enroll and register new students before we open registration to prospective families in order to secure a spot!

Giving Tuesday — Thank You!

We are grateful for all those who have donated to our Giving Tuesday campaign, and for those who continue to support Guardian Angels in so many ways. Your generosity is deeply appreciated! Thank you!

Cold Weather Uniform

Our cold weather uniform policy runs from December 1st through February 28th. Boys in grades KDG-6 must wear pants. Girls in grades KDG-6 must wear ankle length leggings or tights in solid blue, black, or gray, or pants. This policy only applies to students in grades KDG-6.

Cold Weather is Here!

Students should plan to bring in coats, gloves, and hats as we will go outside for recess unless there is extreme cold or rain/snow.

Toy Drive

4th grader, Kennedy Lovett is has graciously asked the GA community to support her desire to help children from Lincoln Heights Elementary School receive a special Christmas gift. Please see below and send in your unwrapped toy donations to school during the week of December 8.

The Holidays are here and my annual toy drive is up and going for the 2025 season. My goal is to bring the joy of the holidays to as many children as possible. By our GA Family helping to collect new, unwrapped toys and games for children, I hope to make a big difference in many families holiday this year. The gifts this year will be donated to Lincoln Heights Elementary School, my goal is for every child to receive at least one Christmas gift. This is important to me because many of these families wouldn't have Christmas without our help. Thank you, GA Family, for all of your help and support!

Christmas Party Volunteers Must Be Safe Parish Compliant

With the holidays approaching, we want to remind any parents or grandparents who wish to volunteer at the class Christmas parties that they must be up-to-date on their Safe Parish training. Any new Safe Parish registrations must be submitted by December 15th in order to complete the necessary background checks in time. Please email Joan Schoenhoeft with any Safe Parish questions.

Safety Reminder on Alcore Terrace

Our neighbors who live on Alcore Terrace have contacted us about cars speeding when they exit campus onto Alcore Terrace. Please be mindful of all speed limits on and around campus to ensure the safety of our students and neighbors.

Teacher/Staff Gifts

The PTA facilitates the collection of monetary gifts for the teachers at Christmas and the end of the year. This is not mandatory but provides an opportunity for parents and families to celebrate teachers and staff with a monetary gift. Please use this link if you would like to contribute to teacher and staff gifts.

Great News for Anyone Who Pays Ohio Income Tax and Supports Guardian Angels

We have many students at Guardian Angels who benefit from scholarships provided by the Catholic Education Foundation (CEF). Ohio taxpayers who donate to the CEF may be able to claim a dollar-for-dollar, non-refundable tax credit on their state income tax return, up to $750 per donor. For more information, click here.

We hope you consider a donation before the end of the year and choose "Guardian Angels School (Cincinnati)(C00160)" from the drop-down when prompted.

Parishioner and tax expert, Brien Dulle, is donating. Here's what he had to say. "Supporting the CEF is a no-brainer for me for two reasons. As a graduate of GA that is also sending my daughters to the school, I want to invest in the education that our children receive. Secondly, there's no extra money out of pocket since I can claim a dollar-for-dollar Ohio tax credit."

Partner with the PTA

Calling all local businesses and organizations! The GA Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is looking for community partners to help us create meaningful opportunities for our students and families. Consider partnering with the PTA as a sponsor or hosting a giveback!

Giveback: a pre-defined event set by the PTA and your company where we market your company to our community of families and encourage attendance and a portion of proceeds from sales at the company are given back to the PTA.

  • Examples: Restaurant night where a % of sales supports the PTA, retail shop donating a portion of weekend sales, service-based business offering a special PTA promotion.

Sponsorship: a strategic partnership with the PTA where a company provides financial support in exchange for visibility and brand promotion at highly attended PTA events!

  • Benefits may include: your company logo placement on event signage and flyers; recognition in school newsletters and social media; direct connection with hundreds of local families.

How to Learn More/Express Interest:

  1. Fill out this survey (https://forms.gle/M3eTtvB6uRPmdX2a7) if you think your company would be interested in a potential partnership with GA!
  2. Questions?: Contact Emily Keller (eegreenwood@icloud.com

Sensory-Friendly Mass at St. John Fisher First Sundays of the Month

St. Gregory the Great Family of Parishes and the Archdiocese of Cincinnati Office for Persons with Disabilities offers a Sensory-Friendly Mass on the first Sunday of the month at St. John Fisher. All are welcome! A special invitation is extended to any person with autism, developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s, dementia, or sensory issues. These Masses may include lower lighting, quiet music and/or no music, and shorter more literal homilies; however, the biggest difference is that we try to create an environment free of stigma. We encourage families and individuals to get up and move if needed, to bring alternative seating, fidgets or noise cancelling headphones, and to participate in the liturgy just as they are.

St. Gregory the Great Mental Health Ministry Is Here for You!

Children's Liturgy of the Word

Kroger Community Rewards offers a great way for you to support our school's technology fund and you don't have to spend a penny. You can search for GA or use our NPO number, 80200. The amount Guardian Angels receives depends on the points our supporters rack up while grocery shopping.
