Bible Camp

Food Truck Party VBS invites children of all ages to get on a roll with God as a parade of Food Trucks rolls into their neighborhood for the summer's biggest party!

Children are invited to pray as Jesus teaches us in Matthew 6:11; "Give us this day our daily bread." These words serve as a reminder that everything we have comes from God — and that it's by turning to God in prayer that all of our daily needs are met.

GA’s Bible Camp runs from Monday, June 19 through Thursday, June 22 from 9:00 a.m. to noon.

Click here for more information.

We are also in need of incoming 7th grade, 8th grade and high school volunteers. Contact Mrs. Froehlich to volunteer.

Message from Father Angi

It came to my attention on Monday that one of the deacons in our family of parishes created a furor by his homily on Sunday at 10:00 a.m. Scout Mass at Guardian Angels. The words and the message were inappropriate for the youth and made for a very uncomfortable position for all gathered: families and children alike. I sincerely offer my apology for this situation and assure you I will be speaking to the deacon and relaying the inappropriateness of the message given. Thank you for your understanding and my prayers for all the scouts and their families.

Soccer for Spring 2023: CO-ED (PreK & K) & SAY East Girls and Boys 1st-8th Grades

Guardian Angels Boosters are excited to open registration for our Co-ed & GA Spring Girls and Boys Soccer program, starting practices in March through end of May. We continue to offer two leagues based on age and skill level.

  • Guardian Angels CO-ED Soccer: For our Pre-K and Kindergarten players we offer our own Guardian Angels Co-Ed league, where practice and a game are held during the same hour on Friday nights on our GA field. It is an instructional league and best serves those new and still learning the game.

  • SAY East Guardian Angels Soccer: Open to 1st - 8th grade students. The SAY Divisions are based on a player’s age as of July 31 in the current year, not the grade. Passers (age 6-7), Wings (age 8-9), The Strikers (age 10-11), and Kickers (age 12-13). The Spring Season runs from late March/early April to the end of May (8 games). Based on the number of players, teams are formed by “Blind Draw” procedures balancing the number of players by age and number on each team. Time commitment will be 1 to 2 practices a week (younger grades 1 practice, older grades potentially 2 practices) held at Guardian Angels during the week, with games on Saturdays (Typically Morning’s and early afternoons) and Sunday’s (Early and later afternoon).

Players will need shoes, shin guards and are encouraged to bring water and their own soccer ball. If interested, please sign your son or daughter up on our Guardian Angels registration site. Rosters are due to SAY by 2/27. Sign up before then to ensure a spot on a roster. See you in the spring!

Please reach out to our Soccer directors with any questions:

Brian Kathmann ([email protected]) for SAY East Leagues 1st-8th

Spring Track Registration is Now Open

Register now! Guardian Angels Boosters are enthusiastic to announce the second year of our Track and Field program in the spring of 2023, with the added excitement of GA being selected to host the first Annual Guardian Angels Invitational held at McNicholas!

GA will sponsor track teams this spring season that will last from March to mid May.

Boys and girls from grades K-8th are invited to join and compete in various sprints, distance, relays and field events. The teams are K-2nd (co-ed), with boys and girls teams in 3rd & 4th, 5th & 6th, and 7th & 8th age groups. Different ages compete in different events including, 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m runs, 4x100, 4x200, 4x400 relays and High Jump, Long Jump, Shot Put (softball throw for K-2nd) & Discus, so there is something for everyone! Time commitment will be 1 to 2 practices a week (younger grades 1 practice, older grades 2 practices) held at Nagel Middle School, with 7 meets that last about 2 hours on Saturdays (K-6th), and 7-8th grade meets are held on Friday evenings.

Playing another sport such as baseball, volleyball or soccer? No problem! This is a new program and we are flexible about attendance, and can work around other sports. We had many athletes last year that play on top club teams that still made track work in their schedules and we were happy to have them! We welcome all athletes to make as many practices or meets as they can. We encourage multi-sport athletes, as track will make your child quicker, faster and more explosive for all other sports! See you in the spring!

Christian Service Program - Faith in Action

The purpose of the Christian Service Program is to enhance the religion curriculum at Guardian Angels Church. It is the duty of all Christians to reach out in service to those around them. Christ asks us to be His hands and feet on earth, keeping His mission of reaching out to those in need alive. The students will complete their service within the following settings: at home, the parish community/school and the community at-large. This outreach may be completed individually, with a partner, or in a group.

This program will focus more on the meaning of the actual service opportunities rather than completing a prescribed amount of time. You will choose activities for each component—service to your family, service to your school/parish and service to the poor and vulnerable in our community. There is no minimum requirement of hours to complete. Grades 1-3 are required to complete at least 2 activities for each component; grades 4-8 at least 3 for each. You are certainly encouraged to complete more! See your Religion teacher, Mrs. Froehlich, or the parish website for a list of suggested activities and the log sheet.
