Circle of Grace

Beginning the week of March 24th, students in grades KDG-8 will participate in the Circle of Grace program under the guidance of our School Counselor, Olivia Uchtman. This program is designed to educate students on proper Safe Environment/Protection of Children areas. Additional information on the program can be found through the Circle of Grace website. A parent letter can also be found here. If you do not wish for your child to participate in the program, please email Corey Stoops by March 14th.

Donate to Book Drive

Our GA 8th Grade class will be collecting new and gently used books (KDG-6th grade reading level) to benefit Queen City Book Bank. The collection will take place from 5-7pm during the March 14th Fish Fry in the GA Undercroft. Enjoy dinner while donating to a great cause!

Join Us on March 25th for Grandparent's Day

We invite grandparents or a special adult to join us on Tuesday, March 25th for Grandparent's Day! We will celebrate Mass at 9:15 am, followed by a light breakfast and tour. Please do not arrive before 8:30 am so we can allow our daily Mass participants to depart.

Please have grandparents RSVP with their grandchild(ren)'s name(s) here by March 20th.

For questions, contact Kay Froehlich at kfroehlich@gaparish.org, 513-624-3146

Donations Needed for Grandparents Day

We anticipate that we will have over 400 grandparents and special guests attending Grandparents Day. Donations of breakfast items are most welcome and appreciated! You can drop them off to the school office on Monday, March 24th (preferred) or to the cafeteria on the morning of Tuesday, March 25th. Please click here to sign up to donate.

CAN-abilities Week at GA is March 10th-14th

CAN-abilities is a disability understanding program in which students meet and hear from friends in our community who live with a disability. Students learn about disabilities directly from someone with a disability in a respectful, approachable and fun environment. Each grade learns about a different disability each year.

The program partners with DSAGC (Down Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinnati) , HSDC (Hearing Speech and Deaf Center), Skool Aid, Autism Connection, Art Equals and the McNicholas S.A.I.L Program (Support and Accommodations for Identified Learners).

Spring Pictures

Spring Picture Day is Thursday, March 27th. Order forms were sent home last week. Students may dress out-of-uniform following the school out-of uniform-guidelines.

Lucie Brandon Mysteries - Author Visit

Jennifer Dickson, author of the Lucie Brandon Mysteries series, is excited to be speaking to Grades 7-8 on March 4th and Grades 3-6 the week of March 10th. They will explore the writing process, publishing, and great ideas! Her books, enjoyed by ages 9-99 and available on Amazon.com, are mysteries combined with historical fiction. Visit her website, www.luciebrandonmysteries.weebly.com, for more information about the Lucie series and Author Visits.

Since Mrs. Dickson is the Band Director at GA, she will offer autographed copies at her cost ($5) for purchase. Click here to order books to be received on the day of the visit.

Wheelchair Needed

Does anyone have a wheelchair at home that you no longer need? Would you like to donate it to GA? We would like to have one in the Gathering Space for use on occasion in the church and school. If you are interested in donating, please contact the Parish Office at (513) 231-7440.

Extended Care Pickup Fish Fry Fridays

Due to the traffic for our Fish Fry on Fridays throughout Lent, the extended care pickup process will change. On Fridays during Lent, parents will need to park in the lower lot. Weather permitting, students will be outside until 4 pm. After 4 pm, preschool and Pre-K parents can pick up their children in the Old Gym by ringing the doorbell outside the doors closest to Beechmont. K-8 students can be picked up by ringing the doorbell at Bishop Rehring Hall.

Donate $1.00, Dance a Jig, and Wear Your Green!

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on Monday, March 17th with a GREEN out-of-uniform shirt and your uniform bottoms or G.A. sweatpants. Please wear school appropriate out-of-uniform shirts.

By donating $1.00, you are supporting local charities in their unending work for the poor of Cincinnati.  These people, like the real Saint Patrick, work tirelessly to care for the spiritual and physical needs of many people.

Leprechauns are actually one reason you’re supposed to wear green on St. Patrick’s Day—or risk getting pinched! The tradition is tied to folklore that says wearing green makes you invisible to leprechauns, which like to pinch anyone they can see. Some people also think sporting the color will bring good luck, and others wear it to honor their Irish ancestry.

Yearbook Orders

Orders may be placed directly online by visiting ybpay.com and entering the code 8713125. You will be required to enter your student’s name and grade to access our order form. Orders are due by March 28th

Spring Flower Sale

The Boy Scouts and the 8th grade class of 2025 are selling 12-inch combo hanging baskets. Orders are due March 31st. Flowers will be available for pickup on Monday, April 28th from 3:00-7:00pm in the GA Pavilion. Order online or fill out the attached order form and make a check payable to Troop 445. Paper order forms and checks can be dropped off at the church or school office.

GA St. Vincent de Paul Society - St. Joseph's Table

During the Middle Ages in Sicily, there was an exceptionally severe drought. No rain fell for an extended period of time, no crops would grow, and countless people died in the ensuing famine. The peasants prayed to God for rain, and they also prayed to St. Joseph to intercede with God on their behalf. They promised that if God caused it to rain, they would have a special feast honoring God and St. Joseph and share the bounty with the poor.

Miraculously, the rains came and the crops were planted. With the harvest, the people prepared a feast of foods from their crops. All were invited to share in the bounty. This has become known as the Tavola di San Giuseppe (St. Joseph’s Table). Through the centuries, and around the world, people have used this festive table to express their thanks for favors granted through the intercession of St. Joseph.

In honor of St. Joseph, whose feast day is March 19th, we asked what is needed to help our neighbors today. The items most needed are listed below by grade level. (Many of these necessary items may not be purchased with Food Assistance Cards.) We invite you to offer a family prayer to St. Joseph, and as a sign of gratitude for our blessings, provide an item(s) for those who count on our generosity. You may bring your offering to school from Monday, March 10th - Friday, March 14th.

  • (Preschool & Pre-K) Facial Tissues
  • (K)    Toothbrushes (no larger than 4-pack)

Track and Field Registration is Open!

The Guardian Angels Boosters are excited to announce that registration is now open for the 2025 Guardian Angels Track and Field season! Click here to register!

GA will sponsor track teams this spring season that will last from March to mid-May. Boys and girls from grades K through 8 are invited to join and compete in various sprints, distance, relays and field events. The teams are K-2nd (co-ed team but compete separately), Boys and Girls 3rd & 4th, 5th & 6th, and 7th & 8th grade age groups.

Different ages compete in different events including, 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m runs, 100m and 200m hurdles, 4x100, 4x200, 4x400 relays and High Jump, Long Jump, Shot Put (softball throw for K-2nd) & Discus, so there is something for everyone! Time commitment will be 1 to 2 practices a week (younger grades 1 practice, older grades 2 practices) held at Nagel Middle School, with 7 meets that last about 2 hours on Saturdays (K-6th), and 7-8th grade meets are held on Friday evenings.

Playing another sport such as baseball, volleyball or soccer? No problem! This is a growing program and we are flexible about attendance, and can work around other sports. We had many athletes last year that play on top club teams that still made track work in their schedules and we were happy to have them! We welcome all athletes to make as many practices or meets as they can. We encourage multi-sport athletes, as track will make your child quicker, faster and more explosive for all other sports!

Please click here for the entire 2025 CYO Track and Field Meet Schedule.

See you in the Spring!
