Recognizing Our Amazing Teachers!

Everyone knows that Guardian Angels boasts some of the most amazing teachers and staff members! Each week, we want to recognize two of them and shower them with love and appreciation. This week we celebrate our Junior High Religion Teacher, Mike Kleshock, and our Spanish Teacher, Maria Cohen.

Mike’s ability to bring faith to life in the classroom is truly special. He doesn’t just teach religion—he makes it engaging, joyful, and meaningful for our students. His enthusiasm, creativity, and care create an environment where students feel comfortable exploring their beliefs and growing in their understanding. Thank you, Mike for all you do for our students!

Maria’s dedication to teaching Spanish to students from kindergarten through 8th grade is truly inspiring. She doesn’t just teach a language—she open doors to new cultures, perspectives, and opportunities for our students. Thank you for the care and passion you bring to your work each day—it makes a lasting difference in the lives of our students. ¡Gracias por todo lo que haces cada día!

Please join us in recognizing and celebrating these two outstanding GA staff members. You can leave a kind note here. Notes, cards, emails, flowers, gift cards, etc. are always appreciated!

Extended Care Pickup Fish Fry Fridays

Due to the traffic for our Fish Fry on Fridays throughout Lent, the extended care pickup process will change. On Fridays during Lent, parents will need to park in the lower lot. Weather permitting, students will be outside until 4 pm. After 4 pm, preschool and Pre-K parents can pick up their children in the Old Gym by ringing the doorbell outside the doors closest to Beechmont. K-8 students can be picked up by ringing the doorbell at Bishop Rehring Hall.

Great News for Anyone Who Pays Ohio Income Tax and Supports Guardian Angels

We have many students at Guardian Angels who benefit from scholarships provided by the Catholic Education Foundation (CEF). Ohio taxpayers who donate to the CEF may be able to claim a dollar-for-dollar, non-refundable tax credit on their state income tax return, up to $750 per donor. For more information, click here.

We hope you consider a donation before the end of the year and choose "Guardian Angels School (Cincinnati)(C00160)" from the drop-down when prompted.

Parishioner and tax expert, Brien Dulle, is donating. Here's what he had to say. "Supporting the CEF is a no-brainer for me for two reasons. As a graduate of GA that is also sending my daughters to the school, I want to invest in the education that our children receive. Secondly, there's no extra money out of pocket since I can claim a dollar-for-dollar Ohio tax credit."

Cafeteria Volunteers Needed

We are always in need of helpful hands to keep an eye on our students in grades K-8 during lunch. Please consider sharing a small part of your day to assist. All volunteers must be SafeParish trained. If you are interested, please sign up!

Partner with the PTA

Calling all local businesses and organizations! The GA Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is looking for community partners to help us create meaningful opportunities for our students and families. Consider partnering with the PTA as a sponsor or hosting a giveback!

Giveback: a pre-defined event set by the PTA and your company where we market your company to our community of families and encourage attendance and a portion of proceeds from sales at the company are given back to the PTA.

  • Examples: Restaurant night where a % of sales supports the PTA, retail shop donating a portion of weekend sales, service-based business offering a special PTA promotion.

Sponsorship: a strategic partnership with the PTA where a company provides financial support in exchange for visibility and brand promotion at highly attended PTA events!

  • Benefits may include: your company logo placement on event signage and flyers; recognition in school newsletters and social media; direct connection with hundreds of local families.

How to Learn More/Express Interest:

  1. Fill out this survey (https://forms.gle/M3eTtvB6uRPmdX2a7) if you think your company would be interested in a potential partnership with GA!
  2. Questions?: Contact Emily Keller (eegreenwood@icloud.com

We look forward to all we can accomplish together to support our wonderful teachers and the students at Guardian Angels!
