Teachers review expectations before entering a new environment, then reinforce them by praising students who are meeting expectations and giving a warning to those who are not. If a student continues to struggle with an expectation, a positive behavior point is removed. A full flowchart outlining this process is available in our school handbook and can also be found here.
Please join me in celebrating all of our Angel Award recipients this trimester!
God Bless,

Recognizing Our Amazing Teachers!
Everyone knows that Guardian Angels boasts some of the most amazing teachers and staff members! Each week, we want to recognize two of them and shower them with love and appreciation. This week we celebrate our 3rd Grade Teacher, Courtney VonderHaar, and our Speech Language Pathologist, Jeanette Beckham.
| | Courtney is a beloved veteran teacher cherished by staff, students, and parents. She dedicates so much to our community and always strives for the best for Guardian Angels School. Courtney consistently seeks ways to uplift spirits, encourage students, and recognize the unique qualities in each one. Thank you, Courtney, for always prioritizing GA's best interests. | | We are incredibly thankful for Jeanette, a dedicated member of our OptimAll Team, who consistently supports our students with speech and writing. Her positivity and encouragement inspire our students to become their best selves. Jeanette's commitment to everyone’s success is truly valued. Thank you for all you do to support our students! | | Please join us in recognizing and celebrating these two outstanding GA staff members. You can leave a kind note here. Notes, cards, emails, flowers, gift cards, etc. are always appreciated! | | |

Extended Care Pickup Fish Fry Fridays
Due to the traffic for our Fish Fry on Fridays throughout Lent, the extended care pickup process will change. On Fridays during Lent, parents will need to park in the lower lot. Weather permitting, students will be outside until 4 pm. After 4 pm, preschool and Pre-K parents can pick up their children in the Old Gym by ringing the doorbell outside the doors closest to Beechmont. K-8 students can be picked up by ringing the doorbell at Bishop Rehring Hall.

GA St. Vincent de Paul Society - St. Joseph's Table
During the Middle Ages in Sicily, there was an exceptionally severe drought. No rain fell for an extended period of time, no crops would grow, and countless people died in the ensuing famine. The peasants prayed to God for rain, and they also prayed to St. Joseph to intercede with God on their behalf. They promised that if God caused it to rain, they would have a special feast honoring God and St. Joseph and share the bounty with the poor.
Miraculously, the rains came and the crops were planted. With the harvest, the people prepared a feast of foods from their crops. All were invited to share in the bounty. This has become known as the Tavola di San Giuseppe (St. Joseph’s Table). Through the centuries, and around the world, people have used this festive table to express their thanks for favors granted through the intercession of St. Joseph.
In honor of St. Joseph, whose feast day is March 19th, we asked what is needed to help our neighbors today. The items most needed are listed below by grade level. (Many of these necessary items may not be purchased with Food Assistance Cards.) We invite you to offer a family prayer to St. Joseph, and as a sign of gratitude for our blessings, provide an item(s) for those who count on our generosity. You may bring your offering to school from Monday, March 16th - Friday, March 20th.

Great News for Anyone Who Pays Ohio Income Tax and Supports Guardian Angels
We have many students at Guardian Angels who benefit from scholarships provided by the Catholic Education Foundation (CEF). Ohio taxpayers who donate to the CEF may be able to claim a dollar-for-dollar, non-refundable tax credit on their state income tax return, up to $750 per donor. For more information, click here.
We hope you consider a donation before the end of the year and choose "Guardian Angels School (Cincinnati)(C00160)" from the drop-down when prompted.
Parishioner and tax expert, Brien Dulle, is donating. Here's what he had to say. "Supporting the CEF is a no-brainer for me for two reasons. As a graduate of GA that is also sending my daughters to the school, I want to invest in the education that our children receive. Secondly, there's no extra money out of pocket since I can claim a dollar-for-dollar Ohio tax credit."

Partner with the PTA
Calling all local businesses and organizations! The GA Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is looking for community partners to help us create meaningful opportunities for our students and families. Consider partnering with the PTA as a sponsor or hosting a giveback!
Giveback: a pre-defined event set by the PTA and your company where we market your company to our community of families and encourage attendance and a portion of proceeds from sales at the company are given back to the PTA.
-
Examples: Restaurant night where a % of sales supports the PTA, retail shop donating a portion of weekend sales, service-based business offering a special PTA promotion.
Sponsorship: a strategic partnership with the PTA where a company provides financial support in exchange for visibility and brand promotion at highly attended PTA events!
-
Benefits may include: your company logo placement on event signage and flyers; recognition in school newsletters and social media; direct connection with hundreds of local families.
How to Learn More/Express Interest:
- Fill out this survey (https://forms.gle/M3eTtvB6uRPmdX2a7) if you think your company would be interested in a potential partnership with GA!
- Questions?: Contact Emily Keller (eegreenwood@icloud.com)

COMMUNITY NEWS
Honor Flight Tri-State March 8: Flightless Honor Flight
On March 8th from 3:30-4:30 p.m., Honor Flight Tri-State will welcome 50-75 veterans and their guardians, families and friends to the Anderson Center located at 7850 Five Mile Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45230.
The Flightless Honor Flight is a heartfelt tribute for veterans who are unable to travel to Washington, D.C. due to health or mobility challenges. Offered by Honor Flight Tri-State, this unique program brings the Honor Flight experience to veterans right here at home.
As part of this event, we are looking for participants to participate in the “Welcome Home Ceremony” most of our veterans never received. The Honor Flight staff ensure ALL veterans exit together for this special event and make a "Processional Tour" so everyone can be seen and celebrated.
Those attending the Welcome Home Ceremony are asked to wear patriotic colors, make welcome home veteran signs and generally cheer the veterans as the exit the Anderson Center and walk the parade route along the rear of the building. The roughly 20-minute parade is the highlight of the entire day.
Please park in the Tri-Health parking lot and garage between Five Mile Road and the AMC Movie Theater. You can then walk down the hill to the rear of Tri-Health and Honor Flight volunteers will show you where to congregate.
Parking at the Anderson Center is reserved for the elderly, and disabled.
