Principal's Message

Our Circling Time is near! On Friday, we will conclude the 2025-2026 school year! I sincerely thank every member of this community for helping our students grow academically, develop spiritually, and earn their HALOs. It was a year full of many academic successes, spiritual milestones, and personal growth. I am proud of the work accomplished by all throughout this school year.

Details for the closing day are listed below. Please remember that all students must be picked up at 10:30 on Friday. Busing in the morning is available; however, students will not have bus transportation at the end of the day for the 10:30 dismissal.

If you have any questions throughout the summer, please call the school office (513-624-3141). You can also email Katie Caccavari, Katie Jacobs or me. If you need to be on campus, please call/email ahead of time to make sure the building is open. The office will be closed throughout July.

In closing, thank you for sending your angels to GA this school year. I cherish each student and have truly enjoyed interacting with them as they developed throughout the year. Guardian Angels School is a special community because of the people who come together with a loving and caring spirit! May God bless each community member for a safe and fun summer! I look forward to seeing all our angels again in 82 days as we begin the 2026-2027 school year!

All my life’s a circle, sunrise and sundown.

The moon rose through the nighttime,

‘Till the daybreak comes around.

All my life’s a circle, but I can’t tell you why

The seasons spinning ‘round again.

The years keep rolling by.

God Bless,

Corey Stoops

Greetings from the Health Room!

Thank you all for your prayers and support this year; I feel it and appreciate it greatly! I wish you all a safe and fun summer. It is always my privilege to care for your children.

End of the Year Business

Medication: Thank you to all of you who sent in medication for your children this school year. Unfortunately, we are unable to keep the medication for use in the next school year. For safety reasons, we require all medication be picked up by a parent or guardian at the conclusion of the school year.

Health forms are found on the website. If you know you will be sending prescription medication in with your child next year, you may print off the “Prescription Medication Form” (in the health forms section, under the “Parents” tab, on the homepage) and have it signed by your healthcare provider this summer. (You will see forms for Allergy and Asthma as well.) If you plan to allow your child to take over-the-counter medication for your children in the fall, use the Over-the-counter form and only a parent signature is required.

Seventh Grade Immunizations: A reminder, the state of Ohio requires two vaccines before students enter seventh grade, one dose of Tdap and one dose of Meningococcal (MCV4) vaccine. Thank you to all of you who have returned their immunization documentation. If any further documentation is required for your child, I have sent home letters with specific documentation required for him/her. I realize some of you will have appointments over the summer and hope this will be helpful.

Please feel free to contact me at any time. Elizabeth Pyles 513.624.2191

Health Update from Mrs. Pyles

I am doing well. I finished my chemotherapy and will have a scan on June 1. If everything looks good, I will start a maintenance therapy for the foreseeable future. I welcome your continued prayers as I go forward; my hope is that this will remain under control as long as God wills it. Thank you all for your amazing support, kindness, patience, and prayers. It is a blessing to be a part of this GA community!

Yearbooks Available

We have about 15 extra yearbooks remaining for $22 each. If you forgot to order one, there is still a chance to order! Reach out to Mary-Kaye Kerr to order.

Update from Corey Frank

A big thank you to all those that have reached out and the support from everyone here at Guardian Angels. It has meant so much to me, Kailynn, and our friends and family.

Over the course of this next week, I will have surgery to get my port put in place for treatment and the final scan that will allow us to know the size and staging. As of now, treatment will start on June 1st, which allows me to finish the school year!

As mentioned before, we have set up a GoFundMe to help with some of the costs associated with battling cancer. Any amount donated is extremely appreciated and will go a long way to help us with this journey.

With treatment going into the summer, we will gladly share updates with everyone on how we are doing and treatment plans. Thank you so much and I am so blessed to be in such a caring community filled with amazing people.

Cookie Ministry

Thank you for your donations to the Cookie Ministry this year. The Peanut Butter group really appreciates your support. They minister to the needy at St. Francis Seraph Soup Kitchen all year, so your donations over the summer are much needed. They put together a lunch sack on Tuesday mornings, so your donations should be dropped off on Mondays. Your donation of cookies, brownies, rice krispie treats, etc adds a sweet treat to the lunches our peanut butter group makes for the needy of the St. Francis Seraph Soup Kitchen. Treats can be homemade or store-bought, but should be individually packaged (2 cookies per bag). They are also in need of juice boxes or pouches and prepackaged snacks like chips, pretzels, cheez-its, etc.

If you would like to help put together the lunches or drive them down to St. Francis Seraph, contact Kathy Hosking at 513-232-0958. Thank you for your help!

iReady Testing is Complete for the School Year

We are pleased to inform you that iReady testing has been completed for all students. Parents and guardians may now log into their student’s iReady account to review the most recent assessment scores and progress information. Students have previously been provided with their login credentials on two separate occasions throughout the school year and should be familiar with their passwords. Should your child be unable to locate or remember their password, please contact Mrs. Jacobs at kjacobs@gaschool.org for assistance. Additionally, the accompanying letter provides guidance for families on how to access and navigate the available family information within iReady.

Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting your child’s academic growth and success.

Last Day of School

Our last day of school is scheduled for Friday, May 29th. Bus service will be available in the morning, but there will be no bus transportation for dismissal. All students must be picked up from school. We will conclude the school year at Mass with the circle song. Mass begins at 9 am. After mass, students will return to their classrooms and all students will be dismissed at 10:30 am. Report cards and iReady results will be sent home on the final day.

2026-2027 Head Servers

Congratulations to our newly appointed Head Servers for the 2026-2027 school year— Mary Camden, Audrey Linz, Henry Schmidt, Own Spiller, and Logan Stewart. May God bless them in their ministry to our parish!

6th Grade Girl Scouts Silver Awards Food Collection

The 6h grade Girl Scouts have been working on their Silver Award. For their Silver Award, they have chosen to help with little food pantries in Mt. Washington. They collected unopened, unused and non-perishable foods that students have been donating in the cafeteria. They have also been thinking of making a big collection to stock the food pantries over the summer, since struggling families do not have access to the school free lunch program in the summer, and would like to collect as much food as possible for the families from now until the last day of school. If you want to help, please bring in extra food/snacks and put them in the bin. Thank you for your time.

All Library Books are Due

The last day to check out books from the GA Library was Thursday, May 7th, so all books should be returned the following week by Thursday, May 14th. Overdue notices will be sent out weekly until the end of the school year. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Leach at hleach@gaschool.org . No library books may be kept over the summer.

Partner with the PTA

Calling all local businesses and organizations! The GA Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is looking for community partners to help us create meaningful opportunities for our students and families. Consider partnering with the PTA as a sponsor or hosting a giveback!

Giveback: a pre-defined event set by the PTA and your company where we market your company to our community of families and encourage attendance and a portion of proceeds from sales at the company are given back to the PTA.

  • Examples: Restaurant night where a % of sales supports the PTA, retail shop donating a portion of weekend sales, service-based business offering a special PTA promotion.

Sponsorship: a strategic partnership with the PTA where a company provides financial support in exchange for visibility and brand promotion at highly attended PTA events!

  • Benefits may include: your company logo placement on event signage and flyers; recognition in school newsletters and social media; direct connection with hundreds of local families.
