The winning family will be announced prior to the end of the school year.
Christian Service Program - Faith in Action

The purpose of the Christian Service Program is to enhance the religion curriculum at Guardian Angels Church. It is the duty of all Christians to reach out in service to those around them. Christ asks us to be His hands and feet on earth, keeping His mission of reaching out to those in need alive. The students will complete their service within the following settings: at home, the parish community/school and the community at-large. This outreach may be completed individually, with a partner, or in a group.

This program focuses more on the meaning of the actual service opportunities rather than completing a prescribed amount of time. You will choose activities for each component: service to your family, service to your school/parish and service to the poor and vulnerable in our community. There is no minimum requirement of hours to complete. Grades 1-3 are required to complete at least 2 activities for each component; grades 4-8 at least 3 for each. You are certainly encouraged to complete more! See your school religion teacher, our Director of Religious Education - Mrs. Froehlich, or the parish website for a list of suggested activities and the log sheet. If you have questions, please contact Kay Froehlich .

Box Tops Goes Digital This Year
Box Tops is going digital! The Guardian Angels PTA collects Box Tops and uses the funds earned to purchase indoor recess games and outdoor recess equipment. This year, Box Tops is switching to a digital platform. To participate, you’ll need to download the Box Tops App. No more cutting labels off boxes! Instead, you’ll go into the Box Tops app and just scan your grocery receipt within 14 days of purchase. You’ll find more information attached .

Currently, you can still find old Box Tops labels on some products. GA students can still submit those paper Box Tops to their homeroom teachers and parishioners can drop them off in the special collection envelope located on the bulletin board in the Church Gathering Space. Those labels will be picked up on November 1st and then again on March 1st . These physical labels are being phased out though so at some point the digital option will be the only way to submit Box Tops.
Feast of the Guardian Angels
Celebrate The Feast of the Guardian Angels by joining us for noon Mass on September 29th and then stay for a community luncheon. A potluck style lunch will be served around 1:00 (after Mass). Sweets & Meats will provide the BBQ and cole slaw; parishioners are asked to bring another side, salad, or dessert to share. Please RSVP by clicking here If you are interested in helping with this event, please email Julie Bruns. Volunteers are needed for setup, managing the food lines, and cleanup.
Soup & Speaker Event on September 10th

40 Days for Life
Over the past years Guardian Angels parish has volunteered to cover two of the 40 Days for Life event where we have someone continually praying from 7:00am to 7:00pm at Planned Parenthood’s abortion facility. Many of our working parishioners try to cover our early and late hours and those available during the day fill the hours in between.
Please consider joining us as many of our “regulars” can no longer participate mainly for health reasons. Sign up at   or on the bulletin boards in the gathering space.  The next GA dates are Wednesday, September 25th and Wednesday, October 30th . Questions? Problems signing up? CCD Help Needed
Looking for ways to become more involved in our parish programs? We have two teacher openings in our CCD program for the kindergarten class and 5 th grade. We are looking for Catholic adults who are interested in sharing their faith with the children of our parish. Teaching experience is helpful, but not required. Stipends are available for CCD catechists. CCD will take place in 24 sessions Sunday mornings from 8:30-9:45 am between September 8 through March 29.
We are also in need of high school aides. We have students in many grade levels who require additional assistance or grade levels that could use another set of hands, eyes and ears.
High school aides would receive a stipend of $150 or Christian Service Hours. Attendance at every CCD session would equal to 36 hours.

Are You Interested In Becoming Catholic
Are you a non-Catholic parent or spouse in our parish? Do you attend Mass with your family? Have you ever thought about becoming Catholic? Now is the time! We are pleased to offer classes for those who are part of our GA community, but have not been initiated into the Church. God desires you to participate in the Church fully and receive Him in the Eucharist.

If you are interested in helping our CCD program or joining RCIA this year, please contact Kay Froehlich.

Cookie Ministry

Guardian Angels School Cookie Ministry teams up with the Parish Parish Peanut Butter group to feed families in need. The Peanut Butter group makes 1,500 peanut butter and bologna sandwiches. GA students donate cookies. St. Francis Seraph Church in Over-the-Rhine gives the food to families in need. Students are asked to bring in two dozen cookies, brownies, or rice krispie bars on their classroom's designated day. They do need to be bagged, two treats per bag. All 8th grade classes are responsible for the next donation on Monday, September 9th . A  complete schedule  for the school year is attached
