This Sunday – Undivided Kingdom
Acts 4:32-37

As the kingdom of God moves forward, challenges from outside and within the church will occur. We must stand against attempts to divide the church or keep the kingdom of God from moving forward.

Jesus has commissioned every one of his followers to be his witness by the power of the Holy Spirit. Despite challenges from outside and within, the kingdom of God continues to advance. Today, we are his witnesses and have a vital role in the continuing story of Jesus’ unstoppable kingdom.

Annual Congregational Meeting
Sunday, January 31, following worship

Each year in January, we gather for the Annual Meeting of the congregation. Plan to join your church family virtually as we reflect on what God has done through the ministries of First Pres in the past year. A meeting packet and annual report will be available ahead of the meeting.

The meeting will be conducted immediately following livestream worship.

Appointments are encouraged; walk-ins are also welcome. A photo ID is required, and masks must be worn. Covid-19 antibody testing will be performed on all blood donations as part of the standard testing.

All presenting donors receive a $4 coupon on a $15 purchase at Noodles and Company.

to Help Our Neighbors in Need

During the week of February 14-21, First Pres will host the Love Your Neighbor Food Drive. We will be collecting donations of non-perishable food and personal care items as well as monetary donations to support our local food pantry partners, the People’s Resource Center in Wheaton and the Interfaith Food Pantry in Carol Stream.

This is a wonderful opportunity to help the less fortunate in our community. We hope that you will share the news of this event with your neighbors and friends.
