Drama Club Presents
Ascension’s Aspiring Actors presents Villain School, by Brian D. Taylor.The Villain’s Institute for Learning Evil (V.I.L.E.) is a school where Evil is taught. What happens when love blooms between students? Performances are Thursday, December 13th at 4:30 p.m. and on Saturday, December 15th at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $6 for adults, and $3 for students. PIZZA LUNCH THIS FRIDAY DECEMBER 14th !
Pizza lunch will be offered this Friday, December 14th. The cost is $3.50 which includes 1 piece of pizza, lemonade, and fruit snacks or $5.00 for 2 pieces of pizza, lemonade and a fruit snack. Only cash will be accepted. No need to pre-order, students should bring their money with them when they come to the Pine Room for their lunch period. NO HOT LUNCH or MILK will be served on this date. Home & School Christmas Collection
Home & School that is accepting donations to the Home & School Christmas Bonus Fund for Teachers & Staff.
There are two easy ways to donate:
2. Send a sealed envelope with cash or check made out to “Ascension Home & School” through your child’s backpack. All donations are confidential.
100% of money collected is distributed among all Ascension teachers, aides, administrative, EDP and maintenance staff. Please make your donation by Monday December 17th. The suggested donation is whatever amount you may have budgeted to spend on teacher gifts. Any amount is deeply appreciated. Thank you for your ongoing generosity and support of our Ascension teachers and staff.

Grades 4 -8: Sign up for the Holiday 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament!
The Ascension Tradition continues! Students in grades 4 - 8 are invited to have some fun and keep active in the annual Ascension 3-on-3 Holiday Tournament. This year’s tournament runs Wednesday, December 26, through Friday, December 28, 2018. Games are played between 9am – 2pm. 4th and 5th graders are the most valuable members of the team: 4th grade baskets are worth 5-times as many points as an 8th grade basket! Don’t Throw It Away! Send It To Our Maker Space!
We are excited to announce plans for Maker Space Centers in the Ursuline Center! A Maker Space is a section of the classroom set up for creating, building, exploring, and tinkering in a hands-on mode of learning. Maker Spaces are communal; the goal is to work together to learn, collaborate, and share. These spaces encourage natural creativity. Students will be able to practice critical thinking skills, challenge their imaginations, and come up with solutions to real-world problems in STEM related activities. Help us get these projects off the ground by sending in any of the materials on the attached list that you might have in your home. Please label them as Ursuline Center/Maker Space Donation and send to your student’s homeroom. Thank you!
