Wednesday Meditation
…with love from Audrey (Pastor Audrey Ward)

A day deserves to be shaped: even when we don’t actually have to dress up or go out. Still, this is a day that the Lord has made. So let’s get to it.

First, I’ve learned that focus matters, so I light a candle; set my timer, and then give myself an early gift of silence, relaxing every part of my body from the toes on up. Breathe. Empty my mind as well as I can—just keep coming back to a long, fine breath—of any news that may have seeped into the cracks.

Then, after the timer has rung I remain in place and pray like Mr. Rogers: remember how he did that? Just named names in a list like rosary beads…

Allow the mystery of Love-in-a-time-of-virus to touch in for a visit.
Wednesday Music for the Heart
" This is the Day " by John Rutter
from William and Kate's Royal Wedding Ceremony
In these days of social distance, we are called to meet apart.
Still we pray for one another, hold each other in our hearts.
If this time indeed is holy, we must keep it truly so.
Even in our isolation, God’s rich blessings overflow.
We avoid the world’s distractions, set our minds on things above:
Patience, kindness, goodness, mercy, faith, joy peace, abiding love.
