HELP OUR YOUTH SERVE

In less than three weeks, I will be traveling with 18 youth and adults to the Dominican Republic with Bridges to Community—the largest group our church has ever sent on a service trip. During our week together, we will build a safe, sturdy, and lasting home for the Reyes family–a husband and wife with 6 kids who currently live in a one-room house. This trip is about more than construction; it is about connection, compassion, and being the church beyond our walls.

Our goal is to raise $10,000 for building materials, and we truly cannot do it without you. Please join us for a Pancake Fundraiser Breakfast this Sunday, February 1st, following worship.

If you are unable to attend, you can still support the trip using the link below and selecting “2026 Mission Trip” from the dropdown menu: https://onrealm.org/LarchmontAvenueChurch/-/form/give/now

HELP OUR CHILDREN LEARN

Earlier this month, our new Sunday School teacher, Tamara Stitt, taught for the first time. Three parents shared with me how much their child enjoyed Sunday School—an encouraging sign of what God is doing through this ministry. Tamara, who also serves in the LAC preschool, brings wonderful energy and care to our children, and we are grateful for her leadership.

With a dedicated teacher in place, volunteers are no longer responsible for teaching; instead, we simply need one adult each week to assist Tamara, as our child safety policy requires two adults to be present. This is an easy, low-pressure way to serve and to build relationships with our children. In baptism, we promise to support their faith formation, and this is one meaningful way to live into that promise.

Please consider signing up for one Sunday this spring using the link provided: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20F0948ADA92CAAFF2-61486829-spring#/

As we approach the end of the first month of 2026, I am filled with gratitude and hope for the year ahead. There is a tangible sense of energy and momentum at LAC, made possible by people who continue to show up, serve, and say yes to what God is doing here. Thank you for being a church alive with faith, generosity, and a willingness to serve. I am deeply grateful to be part of this community with you.
