Three weeks from today, our church building will be transformed by little feet, joyful voices, and the energy and laughter of 40 children. Compassion Camp is just around the corner, and I find myself feeling especially grateful for this congregation and the way you continue to make space for children and families. Our theme this year is “Be Loved. Be Kind. Be You.”
From August 17th through August 20th, children will explore what it means to show kindness and compassion, to trust that God deeply loves them, and to celebrate the unique people they have been created to be. Through music, art, stories, sensory play, and outdoor activities, we hope every child leaves knowing that kindness is powerful, love is constant, and who they are matters.
For me, one of the most meaningful parts of Compassion Camp is watching our church live out its promise to care for children and help them grow in faith and love. And, the success of Compassion Camp depends so much on our volunteers. Whether you can help for one morning or throughout the week, your presence makes a difference.
