Ash Wednesday is a day of solemn assembly that begins the season of Lent. It is a time to be honest about our sins, mourn for the brokenness of the world, and recognize our mortal dependence upon the grace of God. On this day, we ask God to remember us, to have mercy upon us, and to breathe new life into our dusty lives.
For those who would like to participate, an imposition of ashes in the shape of a cross will be available.
