A New Tradition: The Flower Cross

Last year, Larchmont Avenue Church started a new Easter tradition, inviting the congregation and public to add flowers and greenery to our Flower Cross on Easter Sunday. Built of wood and wire mesh, the cross will once again be situated outside of our sanctuary near the Larchmont Avenue entrance. As Easter worshipers enter the church, all are invited to place a cut flower or greenery somewhere on the cross. If possible, please remember to bring a small floral offering from your household (or pick up a few flowers at a local market).

[Note that a limited supply will also be provided at the foot of the cross.]

Look for the Flower Cross to return early on Easter morning (April 5, 2026)

As the structure gradually fills with color and life, it will grow into a beautiful and inspiring symbol of the faith, hope, and love of Easter Sunday -- a witness that stands proud and proclaims the triumph of God's goodness and grace to all who pass.

Help us share our Easter joy with our community!

Add your simple gifts to the Flower Cross.
