Hello Everyone!


Yesterday we were honored to welcome Bishop O’Malley who celebrated our school mass. Each class presented him with a card to welcome him.


Parent Teacher Conferences are scheduled for April 3. You should have received a link yesterday to sign up for a time slot. Here is the link for your convenience.  


Beginning March 20, 2025, teachers and students (Grades 4-8) across the archdiocese will have an opportunity to participate in the 5Essentials Survey. As a parent, you also have the opportunity to share your thoughts on the important elements of school effectiveness in a survey about St. Emily School. Please see this informative letter about the survey. As a parent, you also have the choice to not have your child take the survey. Please use this form if you do not want your child to participate. The students will take the survey at school after Spring Break.

Congratulations to Max Boone, 6th grade, who placed 1st in the Knights of Columbus Regional Free Throw Competition last weekend. He heads to the state competition on April 27!



Congratulations to the Band students on their performance last evening at the concert.  Thank you Mr. Sanoshy for all your hard work!

EXTENDED CARE:

**Starting on Monday, March 10, the SES Track team will be practicing in the North Parking lot on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 4:00-5:00 p.m. The gates will be locked. Please park on Henry St. and walk to pick up your student(s).**

*If you need a tax statement, please email Mrs. Wosz. It will be available at the beginning of the following week.

**NOTE: Forms are due by 3:00 p.m. on the due date or the $20 late fee will apply.**

RE-ENROLLMENT INFORMATION FOR 2025/26 came home in mid-January. Application fees increased to $150 per student on March 4. If you have any questions or need another form, please contact Mrs. Geiger.


Financial assistance information for the 2025/26 School Year is now available on the school website. If you would like a hard copy, please contact Mrs. Geiger. The deadline is April 1.


KINDERGARTEN-8th Grade Recess: Just a reminder, if the real-feel temperature is 12 degrees or above, the Kindergarten-8th graders will go out for recess. In order to play in the snow, students must have boots, snow pants, coat, hats and gloves.


ABSENCE GUIDELINES: If your child is going to be late or out, you must call the Absentee Hotline at 224-500-3743. Please leave your child's name, room number and reason for absence or tardy. Per our handbook, if your child is absent three or more days, please provide a doctor's note upon their return.


LUNCH VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED DAILY to monitor the K-8 students during lunch and recess at the following times: Kindergarten-3rd grade 11:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; 4th-8th grade 12:10 p.m. to 12:50 p.m. If you would like to help at either or both, please sign up on this link. If you want to volunteer in any capacity (lunch duty, field trip chaperone, classroom party helper, coach etc.), you need to be Virtus trained and up to date on your compliance.
