Wednesday Update on Dayle

Let me begin by thanking everyone who has called or texted me, asking about Dayle and Mary. The family appreciates your understanding of the need for streamlined communication as they deal with this overwhelming situation.

Unfortunately, Dayle's situation continues to deteriorate. He was placed on a ventilator early this morning and a central line was placed to make it easier to administer medications as his vascular system is compromised. In addition to pneumonia, he is now battling sepsis, a life-threatening complication of infection. We met with several of the medical teams coordinating Dayle's care who hope to place drain tubes to remove fluid accumulating in his chest. Once that is successful, and Dayle's vitals stabilized, he will need to undergo sugery.

Rex, Chris, Michael, and other family members are providing support for Mary who is doing her best to stay positive. To prove that point, she asked me to share this meme with you in the hopes it will bring a smile to your face. She asked me to tell you she loves you and appreciates your prayers.

Dayle's family asks that you "pray hard" for his recovery and for Mary to remain strong. Please continue to lift all of them up in prayer as they keep the faith, placing their trust in God who is holding Dayle in His loving embrace.
