Earn a 2025 tax credit by donating to Emmaus Road before filing

Did you know you can provide scholarship dollars to Newark Catholic students at no net cost to you? All it takes is a donation to the school that you will get back as a credit on your 2025 Ohio state taxes.

If you give just before you file, you’ll likely see your debit and credit within

weeks of each other, possibly even in the same month. In other words, you’ll

get back what you gave in a short period of time.

Green Wave on Ice!

While we were cheering on team U.S.A. in the Milan-Cortina winter Olympic games, a few of our very own Green Wave have been hard at work on the ice as well. Check out our Green Wave on ice!

He's won two state championships and made two subsequent appearances at nationals with the Generals. Duncan remains on the ice through coaching and playing in the local men’s league

Another Green Wave on ice includes Newark Catholic's Communications Manager, Emily Winters, who has coached skating for many years. You'll likely find her paired up with Duncan Tuesday evenings where they both teach Learn to Skate classes at the Lou and Gib Reese Ice Arena.

Apply for diocesan tuition assistance by March 15

For financial aid beyond Ohio EdChoice, families can apply for tuition assistance through the Columbus Diocese. We strongly encourage all families to apply for diocesan tuition assistance for the following reasons:

  • More and more Parishes are asking if families are exercising every opportunity for aid before seeking a Parish Grant
  • The Emmaus Road Scholarship Fund has grown thanks to generous donors who designated Newark Catholic. This means there is more money available for families seeking financial assistance.
  • For our Jon Peterson Special Needs (JPSN) families, currently the State only allows for one JPSN OR EdChoice Scholarship to be awarded/accepted per student; they cannot be held together. This means diocesan tuition assistance is one of the only other ways to access available financial assistance to supplement tuition cost.

Families will apply through FACTS Grant & Aid, which you can access through your FACTS Family Portal Account

Steps to apply for diocesan tuition assistance through FACTS Grant & Aid:

1) Log into your FACTS Family Portal account using district code: NCHS-OH

2) Click 'Financial' in the list of links on the left-hand side of the screen

3) Under 'Financial Links' choose 'Apply for Aid' in blue.

You will most likely then be prompted to sign in again (using your Family Portal username and password) before you can access the FACTS Financial home page to fill out the application. If you have questions or issues logging in to your FACTS Family portal account, please contact the school office at 740-344-3594.

Teams representing many schools in the Diocese of Columbus will convene at Newark Catholic to duke it out, quiz-bowl style, over who knows this year's books the best.

Battle of the Books has been designated as a spotlight event, so come and support NC's competitors, while earning points for your house! No charge for admittance.

It's still freezing out!

Add an extra layer to your student's uniform with our uniform-approved quarter zip sweatshirt.
