College Fair Takes Place Tomorrow!

Sophomores, juniors and seniors will attend this year's college fair at NC tomorrow to chat with reps and gather information from a variety of colleges/universities (both 4-year and technical). Also present will be representatives from the Army, National Guard and Marines. NC's college fair is always an inspiring day for students as they start thinking about life after Newark Catholic.

General School News & Information

Please join us as we celebrate a very special member of the Newark Catholic community through our gym dedication ceremony.

We are proud to honor Clair Schell for his unwavering stewardship, generous spirit, and a profound belief in the mission of our school. His generosity, service, and commitment have made a lasting impact on our school and the generations of Green Wave students who have walked through our doors.

The ceremony will take place before the Varsity Volleyball match vs. Licking Valley, which is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.

We hope you’ll join us as we recognize Clair and celebrate a legacy of service that truly represents what it means to be part of the NC family.

First Quarter Progress Reports

We have officially reached the midway point for quarter 1 of the academic year, and you can view your student's first quarter progress report in FACTS Family Portal. A progress report acts as a mid-term "check-up" to show how your student is doing. It highlights strengths and identifies areas that need attention before the grading period ends.

To view your student's progress report, log into FACTS Family Portal using district code NCHS-OH and click "Grades" under "Students" in the left navigation.

Students have access to view progress reports as well using their FACTS login. Parents/guardians and students can log into FACTS Family Portal at any time to view progress/grades in a class and complete important tasks like managing lunch accounts.

A primary reason you may not be able to view grades would be a low lunch account balance.

Parking permit enforcement begins Oct. 1

If you still need to obtain yours, please fill out the registration form and submit it, along with your payment, to the school office as soon as possible.

When your student gets his/her license and begins driving to school, he/she will need to obtain a parking pass by completing the registration form here. Paper copies are also available in the school office. Parking passes cannot be purchased prior to a student obtaining his/her license.

Note: C-Tec students who park in our lot must obtain a permit but will not be assessed a fee due to infrequency of use.

Raffle Ticket Reminder: Return stubs by 10/6

Keep selling those tickets, and be sure to return stubs to the school office before 10/6, which is the date of the first drawing.

Wonder why we include a quote from John Bosco each week?

If you didn't already know, John Bosco is Newark Catholic High School's patron saint. He embodies what we strive to instill in young people at NCHS--he made it his life's mission to form youth into faithful men and women who actively and positively contribute to the world around them.
