Secure Your Spot for 2021-22 - Re-enroll today!
If you plan to re-enroll your child for the 2021-22 school year, please do so as soon as possible. The re-enrollment deadline has passed, and our admissions team is preparing to offer spots to new applicants. Some programs fill up quickly, and we would like to give priority to our current students. Please email admissions@wmsde.org if you have questions about the re-enrollment process (or if your family does NOT plan to return to WMS), or contact the business office if you have financial questions.

2021-22 School Year Planning
|
As we look to the 2021-22 school year, our goal is again to offer a continuous learning experience on-campus while taking the necessary precautions. We anticipate that the majority of our staff will be vaccinated this semester, and our experience to date has shown that classrooms are not driving transmission. Consequently, we believe we will return to a pre-pandemic environment during the next year.

Required COVID-19 Testing - Results Due Today by 4 p.m.
We continue to be grateful for your efforts to keep our community safe through COVID-19 testing every two weeks.
Your child's next test results are due today (Wednesday, February 17) at 4 p.m. in order for your child to attend school tomorrow. Results must be emailed to Nurse Kathy at nurse@wmsde.org as soon as they become available. If you are sending a screenshot, please include the date tested.
Important: Please understand that if no results are forwarded to Nurse Kathy, your child will not be permitted on campus. If your results are forwarded after 4 p.m. on the due date, you may experience a delay in drop-off in the morning. A last-minute result may delay or prevent your child from attending school; time must be allowed for communication to the staff members conducting screenings in the car line.
Upcoming required due dates are as follows:
- Wednesday, February 17
- Wednesday, March 3
- Wednesday, March 17
You are still welcome to have your child tested more frequently and may forward the results to Nurse Kathy.
Thank you, and please contact Nurse Kathy if you have any questions!

Planning Ahead for Spring Break Travel
|
With snow still on the ground and more predicted for later this week, it's hard to be believe that we are less than five weeks away from spring break! As was the case during our winter holidays, we know that many families spend time traveling and visiting friends and family members near and far. As you make plans for your family, we encourage you to continue to keep the safety of our community in mind when making these decisions. Thank you for all that you do!
In the coming weeks, we share plans regarding post-spring break COVID-19 testing for families and staff. Stay tuned for updates!

Montessori Model United Nations
Last weekend, sixth-grade and middle school students took part in the first half of the Montessori Model United Nations (MMUN) virtual conference. Along with students from around the world, the WMS delegates gathered on Zoom to represent different countries, give speeches, and negotiate and collaborate to identify solutions to global issues like cyber crime, climate change and food security. The students confidently shared their ideas and took an active role in drafting the resolutions, and several WMS delegates were even elected by their peers to present their solutions to the committee at the closing ceremony.
