Are you ready to attend an event or visit a cultural venue? And for those of you with kids, how are you feeling about summer camp? The results of the survey are being shared across the cultural sector. Watch for more collaborative efforts we we work together, sharing resources and ideas about how to come out of this crisis stronger and more vibrant than before.

Today's message would be incomplete without a thank you to the 35 individuals who contributed to our extended Giving Tuesday campaign! THANK YOU! These funds are designated to the campaign for a cultural center.

On a related note, another thank you goes to the Martin County School Board members for voting unanimously last night to sign a letter allowing us to apply for grant funds from the Division of Historic Resources to begin planning for a cultural center on the campus of the historic Stuart High School.

Lastly, a heartfelt congratulations to the students who received awards for their artwork in the Marvin S. Cone 34th Annual High School Juried Art Show. You can see the virtual exhibition online. Enjoy the talent of our local high school students!

Heathcote Botanical Gardens is now open to the public 10 AM - 4 PM, Monday - Friday. No admission will be charged but a donation to help maintain the gardens during this time of cancelled fundraising events will be greatly appreciated.

Social distancing of 6ft between groups who do not reside together is strongly encouraged as is wearing masks.

Members of the Lyric Theatre can now purchase tickets for the 2021 season! Tickets will be on sale to the public beginning September 8th.
Calling all Middle & High School Students!

Stars Over Stuart is going virtual! Middle and high school students can send their video audition to jtharp@ci.stuart.fl.us . Actors, dancers, singers, comedians, musicians, rappers, spoken word artists etc.- any talent is welcome. Cash prizes will be awarded.

The Roasted Record will soon be opening its new location on Colorado Avenue within the Creek District of Arts & Entertainment! Check their website or Facebook page for hours and updates.

Tune in to St. Mary's Facebok page for a half hour livestream concert with Paul Hamaty who w ill be performing some popular 20 th  century piano tunes around the theme of thanksgiving, joy, and hope.

The Stuart Green Market will be re-opening (5/31) near its previous Downtown Stuart location, now in Flagler Park. Market hours are 9 AM - 1 PM. Discover the finest locally made foods, crafts, arts, and entertainment our community has to offer.

Delray Beach based Improv U is hosting a virtual comedy show this Saturday (5/30). The cast will be performing short form games and improvised comedy scenes for your viewing pleasure!

Currently on view at the Far Gallery in Fort Lauderdale until June 27th, Dual Orbit, focuses on Jenkin's recent plywood studies. Luke will be giving an intimate look into his practices and concepts behind the new exhibition. Log on tonight (5/27) at 6pm on May 27th for a Facebook Live artist talk.

Shibori is a traditional Japanese textile art that dates back to the 8th century.
Shibori is a Japanese word used to describe the ways to create patterns on cloth by manipulating it before dyeing. This workshop is an introduction to the Japanese art of Shibori and the stitching used to create unique patterns.

NASA and SpaceX are scheduled for a historic launch to send two astronauts to the International Space Station in a mission called Demo-2 for the first time in nearly a decade. Liftoff is set for 4:33 P.M.
