Starting today we shifting our focus for the weekly Wednesday Roundup . From here forward we will focus on our local creative sector and the openings throughout the sector that are beginning to happen.

As our community slowly reopens, our focus will be on providing you with information about the creative sector businesses, artists and organizations that need you and your participation to make it through to the other side of this crisis.

Meanwhile, we are not losing sight of the future and our strategic plans. Our quest for a cultural center and dream of converting the old Stuart High School to be an amazing space for our community is at a critical juncture. As you'll see below we are raising funds right now to allow our Division of Historic Resources grant application to move forward. It's just the beginning of our journey.

The Arts Foundation for Martin County is excited about the future and the opportunity to create an amazing cultural center for the community. But we need your help to do it! 

As we have learned throughout the current COVID-19 crisis, the arts are a salve to the heartache and anxiety we are all facing in the immensity of this pandemic.

Renovating the historic Stuart High School as a cultural center space will provide our community a place to access and experience in the arts. It will also stimulate downtown development and economic opportunity, while preserving some of our history.   

Martin Artisans Guild's Art in the Palm Room Blue By You Exhibition will be open by appointment. Palm Room is located in Harbour Bay Plaza in Sewall's Point. Contact for the artists will be listed on the doors. Visit the guild's website or Facebook for updates.

The Aya Fiber Studio in Port Salerno is open
M- F from 10-3 and by appointment. Studio time available by appointment as well as small indigo workshops of less than 4 students can be scheduled. Check out their website for current specials and updates.

Visionary School of Arts is offering four free art class videos by top-notch instructors - Lynne Barletta, Alice Laputka, and Mike Nolan.

Preston Contemporary Dance Theatre has been hosting a multitude of virtual dance/yoga offerings on Zoom.

Each Wednesday at 12:00 PM St. M ary's Episcopal Churc h is hosting a variety of musicians each week starting through May 27th to perform a half hour concert.

Martin County local and history enthusiast Brendan Rogan recently started up a new Instagram account that features daily postings of historical black and white photos of Florida from the late 19th/early 20th century he's brought to life with color and captioned with some fun historical trivia of each.
With some restrictions on the number of people in the store for your safety, The Gilt Complex reopened on Monday. Call ahead and then bring in your framing projects. Oh... and while you are there, check out the amazing mural on the side of the building.
