Friendly reminder to please  click here to RSVP TODAY  for our  11th Annual JC Schools Staff BBQ  on  Friday, September 20  on the playground at Thorpe Gordon Elementary (1101 Jackson St.) from  4:30-6:30pm . Bring your family for an evening of FREE food and fun!

Not sure if you already submitted an RSVP? Follow the link and Google will let you know, as you're only allowed to submit one response. You can also choose to edit your response if you need to change the number of people joining you. 

BBQ REMINDERS:
  • Check out the map (below) for parking and playground access info. 
  • While we'll have lots of tables and chairs, you're also welcome to bring lawn chairs and/or a picnic blanket for your family. 
  • We'll have inflatables and tattoos to entertain the kids!
  • Staff who've submitted their United Way pledge card at our minimum level of giving ($15 per pay period or more) will be entered into a drawing for free United Way t-shirts. There will be cards on hand to fill out and turn in too. We'll also give t-shirts away to the winners of our juggling contest - stop by the United Way table to enter!

LOOKING TO EARN a EdS or EdD DEGREE?
Interested or considering earning a Specialist (EdS) or Doctorate (EdD) degree? Saint Louis University is looking to start a cohort here in the Jefferson City in January 2020. Those interested should contact SLU via the information on the flyer(s) or view an available webinar listed on the flyers as well. You are also welcome to call Dr. Patricia Tavenner at Lawson for any information about the program from her perspective on juggling work and the degree program.
PEACHJAR FLYERS

JC Schools are now using Peachjar to send digital flyers directly to our families!

Getting your message in front of parents can be difficult. Getting them to pay attention and engage with your content is an even greater challenge. Peachjar's digital flyer platform makes reaching parents easy and effective. Once approved, your digital flyer is emailed to parents on behalf of their child's school and is posted to the school's online flyerboard, resulting in maximum exposure.

Would you like to participate in a teacher stress study ? We are partnering with Mizzou to provide an opportunity for teachers to engage in a study that is focused on helping teachers cope with stress. The purpose of the study is to see if stress management training for teachers reduces stress and improves coping. If you are interested in participating, please contact Shelby Scarbrough at shelby.scarbrough@jcschools.us or 659-3013.


Attention Hourly Employees
If you are an hourly employee who works as a coach or as an activity events worker, please complete the Voluntary Worker Agreement that can be found in TalentEd Records under Blank Docs . If you have any questions, please contact the HR office at 659-3013


Salary Schedule Movement
If you have recently completed your graduate degree or additional coursework hours please submit notice to the HR office for advancement on the salary schedule. The deadline is October 1.
 
If this affects you, please complete the  Teacher Salary Movement Application  in Records. You will also need to submit your official transcripts which must be sealed or sent electronically from the
institution. Please contact the HR office if you have any questions.
