Dr. Kafela was the voice and vessel that initiated the bridging of the academy on the campus of the church founded by Bishop Kafela (Imani Temple Christian Fellowship in Pomona, CA). Because of Bishop Kafela's passion for teaching and seeing a need in the untapped urban community, the Shelton T. White Institute was established and Promise Christian University proceeded to offer classes so men and women would have access and the opportunity for elevation and Christian education.

Periodically, I find myself frustrated and unproductive because my office and my closet get out of control. I find myself sitting in my office staring at piles of papers and books not knowing where to begin to de-clutter my work space.
I find myself standing in my closet stressed because I did it again!!! I'm saying, "Jewel, how did you let this happen again?"
Fortunately, my precious God-Daughter answers my distress call and comes over to help me de-clutter my closet and office. She does it without judgment. I begin to breathe again. I find what I need. I feel better because I was willing to sacrifice my pride for the sake of accountability, progress, peace of mind and an orderly productive environment.
There is another type of clutter which is internal. You live inside your head. People far too often live with their internal mess and clutter (i.e. anger, stress, fear, drama, grudges, depression, jealousy, excuses, pride, perfectionism, regrets, secrets, wounds, shame, guilt and low self-esteem).
We all have areas in our lives that need some attention, accountability and action. What is blocking your progress? What needs to be thrown away, sorted out and cleaned up? Are you sitting and staring, not knowing where to start to create a better life?
