Top Three Things You Need to Know

1) Hospitality Internships Partners With the

California Hotel & Lodging Association

We are thrilled to announce our latest strategic partnership with the California Hotel & Lodging Association (CHLA)! This collaboration aims to fuel innovation and growth in California’s hospitality industry while supporting CHLA’s workforce development and education initiatives, including the CHLA Education Foundation.

Hospitality Internships connects students from over 1,100 global hospitality, tourism, and culinary programs with high-quality internships, manager-in-training opportunities, and entry-level management positions.

Through this partnership, CHLA members and suppliers will receive exclusive discounted rates, and Hospitality Internships will contribute a portion of every sale to support CHLA’s academic and professional development scholarships.

This alliance is set to shape the future of the hospitality industry by providing meaningful career pathways for the next generation of hospitality leaders.

2) Update on Our Partnership with

Eduserv Education in Uganda!

We’re excited to provide an update on our partnership with Eduserv Education in Uganda! Together, we continue to open doors to high-quality internships, manager-in-training programs, and entry-level management positions for over 200 Ugandan students, connecting them with global opportunities in the hospitality industry.

Fadhila Saad, Director of Programs for Eduserv, shared Eduserv’s goals, stating, "At Eduserv Education Agency, our mission is to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical skills by providing Ugandan students with immersive, real-world experiences in the hospitality industry. We aim to cultivate globally competent professionals who are well-prepared to excel in their careers."

This collaboration is vital in strengthening Uganda’s local hospitality organizations and boosting the tourism industry. By providing essential training and resources, we're fostering innovation and growth and ensuring that Ugandan businesses remain competitive globally.

Fadhila also emphasized the impact of this partnership, saying, "Our collaboration with Hospitality Internships is a significant step towards expanding career training opportunities for Ugandan students. This partnership will enable us to offer more comprehensive and diverse internship programs, ensuring our students gain invaluable international exposure and hands-on experience in the hospitality sector."

Local businesses already benefit from a skilled workforce with the latest industry knowledge and practices, enhancing service quality and operational efficiency. Fadhila explained, "By partnering with Hospitality Internships, we are enhancing our ability to provide students with high-quality, practical training opportunities. This collaboration will benefit our students and contribute to the growth and development of the hospitality industry in Uganda and beyond."

This update follows the momentum we’ve built under the leadership of Dr. Emmanuel Gamor, whose efforts in Africa are pivotal to our mission of expanding access to global hospitality opportunities. Dr. Gamor’s journey in hospitality education began in Ghana, where he earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Cape Coast. His pursuit of academic excellence led him to the prestigious School of Hotel and Tourism Management at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, where he completed his PhD.

A Vision for Africa’s Hospitality Industry

Dr. Gamor’s leadership in building strategic partnerships with educational institutions and industry stakeholders across Africa has been essential to our efforts. He is dedicated to ensuring that African students, including those in Uganda through our partnership with Eduserv, have access to the same high-quality internships, manager-in-training programs, and entry-level management positions as their peers in other parts of the world.

As Dr. Gamor continues to drive our initiatives across Africa, his work is raising hospitality education standards and creating pathways for students to thrive in a globalized industry.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to expand our global reach and make a difference in the lives of students and businesses worldwide!
