1) Cooperative Education and Internships Association (CEIA) and Hospitality Internships, LLC Announce Strategic Partnership to Advance Cooperative Education and Internship Programs in the Hospitality Industry

The Cooperative Education and Internship Association (CEIA) and Hospitality Internships, LLC are excited to announce a strategic partnership aimed at advancing cooperative education and internship programs in the hospitality sector. This collaboration promises to create significant opportunities for the development of emerging talent while providing mutual benefits for both organizations.


Dr. David C. Caffo, Vice President of External Relations at CEIA, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, "This agreement reflects our shared commitment to supporting the growth and development of the next generation of hospitality professionals. By joining forces, we can enhance experiential learning opportunities and strengthen workforce development in this critical industry."


Tim Flohr, Co-Creator and Managing Partner of Hospitality Internships, LLC, highlighted the significance of the partnership, stating, "We are delighted to join forces with CEIA to transform cooperative education and internship programs in the hospitality sector. This collaboration highlights our mutual dedication to fostering and nurturing emerging talent. Our combined efforts will offer students exceptional opportunities to gain hands-on experience and pursue successful careers in hospitality."


Key Benefits of the Partnership:


1. Enhanced Internship Opportunities: The partnership will facilitate the creation and promotion of comprehensive internship programs, providing students with valuable hands-on experience in the hospitality industry.


2. Educational Collaboration: Both organizations will collaborate on developing and delivering educational content that supports the professional growth of students and emerging professionals in the hospitality sector.


3. Professional Development: Hospitality Internships and CEIA will work together to enhance the professional development of educators and internship coordinators by sharing industry insights, best practices, and innovative approaches to workforce development. CEIA will create a new community of practice for employers and educators in the hospitality profession. They will also create a specific “Call for Proposals” centered on best practices in the hospitality sectors for the upcoming 2025 conference. With this new community of practice, CEIA will collaboratively establish hospitality webinars and members forums.


4. Discounted Membership: As part of this partnership, Hospitality Internships will provide discounted memberships to their Academic Advisory Committee members, which consists of educators from hospitality, tourism, and culinary arts programs worldwide. Additionally, Hospitality Internships will sponsor CEIA memberships for their industry partners, allowing them to benefit from the organization's excellent resources. These resources include access to a wide network of academic and industry professionals, exclusive research and industry reports, professional development workshops, webinars, and conferences. CEIA also offers valuable tools for enhancing internship and cooperative education programs, such as best practice guidelines, mentorship opportunities, and forums for sharing knowledge and experiences.


The agreement underscores the commitment of both CEIA and Hospitality Internships to fostering a supportive environment for students and professionals entering the hospitality field. "We are confident that this partnership will lead to significant advancements in cooperative education and provide invaluable opportunities for our members and students," said Dr. Caffo.
