Wednesday Night Faith, Food, and Friendship resumes for the new year tonight with dinner, the start of rehearsals for the spring children's musical, youth group, and a fun, casual board game night in Fellowship Hall!

New faith-focused adult classes begin next week.

Dinner is Italian meatballs and mac & cheese. Dinner cost is $10/adults. Kids and first-time guests eat for free!

Blood Drive: Thursday, January 16, 2 -7 p.m.

Start the New Year off right by giving the gift of life! That’s what you can do by donating just one pint of blood.

Our next blood drive at church is on

Thursday, January 16, from 2:00-7:00 p.m.

in Fellowship Hall.

Appointments are encouraged (but walk-ins can usually be accommodated). You can make an appointment by calling or texting Jim Schacht any time before the blood drive at 414-332-2834. Or you can make an appointment online at the Versiti Blood Center website https://versiti.org.

New donors are always welcome. The donation process from the time you arrive to the time you leave takes about an hour, but the actual donation time is only about 10 minutes. And there are free snacks and juice when you’re done! If you have never donated and want to learn more about it, please give Jim a call.

Women Offering Worship returns this week on Thursday, January 9 at 9:30 in the Chapel, followed by two new classes The Book of Mark (Immersion Bible Study) and Philip Yancy’s What’s So Amazing About Grace. We hope to see you this Thursday! Nell Nash nnash@umcwfb.org for more details.

Ladies – mark your calendars

for our amazing February 15, one-day

Women’s Retreat, at Racine’s Siena Center.

See Nell Nash for more details.

A HUGE thank you to our Christmas Eve cookie bakers. Your lovingly prepared baked goods, and beautiful, purchased delights brought a smile of joy to everyone’s face and satisfied a sweet tooth or two! Thank you for making Christmas Eve so special!

Please check our lost-and-found area to the right of the main office.

We have a few jackets and gloves that might belong to you! If left unclaimed, we will donate the remaining items in the coming weeks. Thank you.

Save the Date for our summer camp for 3-8th graders!

Camp Lucerne is June 15-18th.

We're looking for at least 12 adult volunteers to make camp safe and fun for our campers!

Contact Samantha Gundrum if you are interested in volunteering on our camping adventure! Have fun and grow in your faith and friendships surrounded by God’s abundant creation! (samhong22@gmail.com). Registration for campers starts in February!

January Mission of the Month –

ASP Hurricane Helene Relief

In September, Hurricane Helene caused widespread catastrophic damage and numerous fatalities across the Southeastern United States, including parts of Appalachia. Appalachia Service Project (ASP) is committed to repairing or replacing at least 200 homes for families that were impacted by the storm. Their love for this region shows in their commitment to its long-term recovery.

Less than one month after Hurricane Helene, three homes were under construction for local families – one was dedicated on December 19. ASP’s goal is to have at least five families in new homes by Easter–if not sooner!

Loose-change offerings and other donations collected during the month of January will support ASP’s effort in their support for this region.

Books! So many like new, gently read children’s books and games just in! Awesome novels and devotional books for grownups too. Be sure to stop by Wednesday evening or Sunday morning

January is the perfect time to curl up with a good book, a great game or puzzle. Why not support mission while you do that. Every purchase, every day, supports mission in at least one way! Our featured missions are Just One More Ministry (food rescue for the underserved) and Next Door Foundation (early childhood education, family support and book library).
