Seneca County Republican Party
Wednesday luncheon
The second Wednesday of the month means it's time for our monthly luncheon. It is April 11 from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. You can come and go as your schedule permits. Everyone is welcome.
It's in the back room at Fort Ball Pizza, 91 N. Washington St., Tiffin, only $5.99 plus beverage, tax, and tip for all you can eat pizza, pasta, and salad bar. It's very informal. The next dates are May 9, June 13, and July 11.

Previously announced speaker Melissa Ackison will be unable to attend due to the death of her grandfather. Please keep them in your prayers. She is a candidate for the US Senate in the May primary.
NW Ohio Faith & Politics Brunch & Roundtable
Our state central committeeman Gary Click sent this invitation for an event on Thursday, April 19 at 11 am at Fremont Baptist Temple, 1150 South County Road 198, Fremont:
“Join Chad Connelly and Gary Click for a free brunch and discussion on the role of faith in political engagement.
Brunch will begin at 11:00
Chad will begin speaking around 11:30
Chad is the founder and director of Faith Wins, a 501c3 committed to advancing faith in the political arena. While Chad was serving as the chairman of the South Carolina Republican Party, Rience Priebus asked him to serve as the first ever Faith Engagement Director of the RNC. From 2013-2018 Chad traveled to 40 states and spoke to over 80,000 pastors, priests, rabbis and other faith leaders looking for those who wanted to help and understood the importance of maximizing the faith vote. Mike Huckabee interviewed Chad when he first took the role and CBN interviewed him during the 2016 election.
The result was a record-setting turnout of 81% of evangelicals supporting our new president. Even the liberal media had to acknowledge the difference the faith vote made in 2016. George Barna wrote about this historic event in his book, The Day Christians Changed America.
Gary pastors the Fremont Baptist Temple and represents the 26th District for the Ohio Republican Party's State Central Committee. He works to engage the faith community with political leaders throughout the state of Ohio. He believes that the Bible teaches faith leaders to be engaged and that the history of America is proof that God blesses a nation that honors Him.
We invite you to take an hour out of your day to be informed and inspired about how your faith and your politics can and should be aligned and engaged to Make America Great Again.”

If that time does not fit your schedule, there are six other events with Chad Connelly on April 18-19.
absentee voting and more
Absentee voting for the May primary has started. If you have already requested a ballot, it will be mailed this week. You can also vote in person at the new Board of Elections office, right next door to the old office at 71 S. Washington St., Tiffin. Click here to request an absentee ballot. Sample ballots for your precinct are available from the same link.
Former Tiffin Mayor Bernie Hohman passed away a few days ago. He was a junior high school math teacher and city council member before becoming mayor, and served as chairman of the Charter Review Commission after leaving office. Please remember him in your prayers.

Thanks to Heidelberg freshman and College Republican President Rodney Roggen for organizing a successful visit by Lt. Gov. Mary Taylor and her running mate Nathan Estruth to promote her campaign for governor. Her staff member Kevin Watters also did a great job in setting up this event on short notice, and we appreciate it.

Thanks for everything you do for the Seneca County Republican Party.
