Greetings!
This September and October will be different than any fall we have all experienced. Back to school and work this year will not be a uniform experience at all, with some children in school, others being home schooled or remaining in childcare. Being open throughout the pandemic, we have ridden the rollercoaster of emotions with our parents, Providers and children. We have been impressed throughout this period with the commitment and resilience of our Providers, adapting to ever changing requirements with each stage of reopen from public health and the Ministry of Education. With the reopening of schools, licensed Home childcare homes again have additional requirements for Providers and children, specifically around the wearing of masks. Full details of these new requirements will be communicated to you by your individual Wee Watch Agency as there are regional differences in requirements.
We want to assure you that Wee Watch and our Providers remain steadfastly committed to ensuring that we deliver the highest quality childcare in all our homes. All the reasons you chose Wee Watch as your childcare option or the agency to partner with as a Provider still remain. All of us remain focused not on the things we ‘cant’ do anymore because of COVID-19, but on the important things we still can do. Our small group sizes, individualized attention to children, unscheduled home visits, safety protocols and educational programming are being delivered better than ever in our care homes across Ontario.
In the spirit of partnership and adapting to the new world we are living in, we are focusing this newsletter on articles and activities that will further support parents and Providers in supporting their children at this time with tips on anxiety in children to fun fall activities.
