As we experience
some rain
, and I keep thinking its Tuesday, I hope you read this email from a waterproof location, and for those who are continuing to celebrate the season of Sukkot, my wish remains that you have a bountiful harvest and ‘Chag Sameach”.
While none of our committees will be meeting this week that doesn’t mean there aren’t a lot of other things going on. For example, tomorrow night, Thursday October 17th, at the Miccio Center beginning at 6 PM, the second of
2 school rezoning meetings
will be held, and, at the same time, the Southwest Brooklyn Tenants Union
is meeting in the Columbia Waterfront District
. While we’re discussing our water adjacent neighborhoods, I suggest checking out
Portside’s open house
this coming Saturday. Also this Saturday, and Sunday,
Gowanus Open Studios
will be happening, and it includes the
fine art of our very own David Briggs
.
Looking ahead, one week from today, October 23
rd
, our
Youth Human Services and Education Committee
will meet at the Red Hook Library featuring a presentation from the NYC Census 2020 Complete Count. The following night, Thursday, October 24
th
, with an agenda still in formation, our
Landmarks/Land Use Committee
will meet, 6:00 PM, at 250 Baltic Street. Also, four weeks from tonight, our
next full board meeting
will be held at M.S 51 on November 13th.
So the big reveal is that, just like today, alternate side parking
will be in effect tomorrow, Thursday, October 17
th
,
while the
trains
and
buses
, as they do every day, will have some planned service changes.
