ARE YOU TAPPING INTO YOUR POWER SOURCE?
I pray that you will begin to understand the incredible greatness of his power for us who believe him.This is the same mighty power that raised Christ form the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God's right hand in the heavenly realms.
Have you noticed in and of itself, a light bulb is just a light bulb? Until it taps into its power source.
Well, that's how it is with us as Christian mothers. In and of ourselves, we do not have the power to live life the way we'd like to as Christian mothers, because we are human and bound to make mistakes along the way. That's why we also have to tap into our power source.
What is our power source? According to the apostle Paul, it is the power that raised Christ from the dead. It is the power that rained down upon the disciples at Pentecost and gave them the ability to go out and evangelize the world. It is the power that kept Paul for succumbing to the pain and pressures of his ministry and what gave him the strength to endure a debilitating physical ailment, as he sought to be a missionary to the Gentiles.
But this power was not just reserved for those in biblical times. This same power today resides today in anyone who claims the name of Jesus Christ as their savior. And this power resides within us as Christian mothers to help us love our children unconditionally. This power resides within to help us speak words that build up our children and not tear down. And this power resides within to help us show patience and kindness to our children.
But like the light bulb, it won't work if we don't plug into it, so it's important to remember the words the apostle Paul also spoke in Ephesians 5:16: " Don't be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, let the Holy spirit fill and control you. Then you will sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, making music to the Lord in your hearts. And you will always give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."
