St. Mark Families:

Thank you for your support in making our first week back to school so successful! Hearing the usual "buzz" of the school with students and staff back in the building brings a sense of normalcy to all of this.

We would also like to thank our Home School Association for helping to make our first days so special! Did you get a peek at our lion mascot?

We appreciate your patience with our dismissal procedures. When picking up your children please do not park on the school side of Woodward in front of the school. That area MUST remain clear for buses.

Please take note...

  • Links to all classes' Google Sites are available on our school website.

  • Lanyards with students' names and homerooms should be worn to and from school every day they are in attendance.

  • Attendance: Parents must CALL in their child's absence from in-person days AND Distance Learning days. If your child is sick or unable to complete the school work on a week day, he/she must be called in as absent. Therefore, students are expected to complete the work and submit it per the teacher's guidelines. If work is incomplete but a student was not called in absent that day, it may reflect negatively on a grade.

  • Please return any textbooks or books from last school year ASAP.

  • We are pleased to welcome Ms. Mary Beth Morgan, a licensed school psychologist to our staff. Ms. Morgan is a NYS licensed school psychologist who received a master’s in School Psychology from the University of North Texas in 2011. Ms. Morgan specializes in social skill instruction and acquisition, collaborative problem solving, and restorative solutions in schools. She has presented at state and national conferences on emotional and behavior assessment and development of school-based intervention. She will be available to meet with students one-on-one and to provide social emotional support strategies for teachers and parents.

Have a great weekend,
R. Clemens & H. McCarthy
Hello Coaches and Parents,

Welcome back! I hope all of you are doing well and are safe and healthy!

If you coached baseball, volleyball, hockey, or basketball last year please email your team a reminder to return any uniforms to Mr. Smith.

Though NYS and Diocese Guidelines currently do not permit interscholastic sports to take place, should they be allowed in the future students cannot participate unless the following paperwork is completed in advance. Therefore, paperwork must be completed and returned to school ASAP if your child may be interested in participating in sports in the future. I am unsure what the sports season will look like at this time. If we are allowed to do any upcoming sports for St. Mark sports, I need to make sure all students are physically eligible to play. BEFORE any athletic practice or contest each student needs to do the following:

**A copy of an up to date physical must be turned into the school nurse before they are allowed to play. You may send it directly to the school (Attention School Nurse/Mr Smith)
Mr. Smith needs the following completed forms:
1. St. Mark Parent Permission form located in the St Mark Sports form packet
2. St. Mark Code of Ethics form located in the St Mark Sports form packet
3. St. Mark medical release form filled out and signed by a doctor or a copy of an updated physical from the doctor. An up to date physical from your doctor turned into the school nurse also qualifies for this requirement.

The school nurse needs: An up to date physical from the doctor stating that they are cleared for full activity without restrictions. **The school nurse will notify Mr. Smith if your son/daughter's physical is in good standing or not.

Remember, all paperwork needed is required before your son/daughter may play or practice.

Thank you!
Mr. Smith
Per our Reopening Plan, the following Covid-19 Checklist should be used by parents every morning before leaving with their child(ren) for school. It is also on our school website. This does not have to be printed and returned to school; we ask that you use it with your child(ren) at home.
