The first week of the 82^nd Session of the Nevada Legislature kicked off on February 6, 2023. UNLV was represented in Carson City by interim vice president for government and community engagement, Dr. Constance Brooks.

As of today, 914 Bill Draft Requests, 129 Assembly Bills, and 108 Senate Bills have been submitted. In addition to state budget developments, as bills begin making their way through the legislative process we will closely monitor those that may impact our higher education mission, as well as those for which our talented faculty, staff, and students can lend their expertise. Themes presented thus far include:
