The tenth week of the 82nd Session of the Nevada Legislature ended with the first major deadline - committee passage for the first house of origin - which resulted in 913 bills being moved out of Senate and Assembly Committees. UNLV Lady Rebels were honored by US Senator Jacky Rosen's participation in the Lady Rebels STEM event

US Senator Jacky Rosen discusses the importance of STEM with UNLV Scientists during a presentation and panel discussion

Dr. Deborah Khuls, professor of surgery and chief of critical care in the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV's Division of Acute Care Surgery, testified in opposition to AB209 (Revises provisions relating to health care)

UNLV alumni Senator Fabian Donate and Dr. David Damore, Interim Executive Director of The Lincy Institute and Brookings Mountain West at UNLV, co-presented on SB347 (Revises provisions relating to higher education) 

Anne Wiseman, UNLV Director of Well-Being and Integrative Medicine, and UNLV Medical Student David Bandbaz at the Nevada Legislature  

UNLV Alumna Senator Dallas Harris and UNLV Medical Student David Bandbaz co-presented on SB423 (Revises provisions relating to motorcycles). 


David was instrumental in the creation of this bill to prevent motorcycle injuries and fatalities.
