Good Afternoon

We're headed into the final weeks of the Winter Share. And, while the weather was quite wintry in Cleveland last week, we had some moderate weather at the farm and got the chance to catch up on some projects that have been weather dependent (aka no rain/snow for days, but it was still chilly) like seeding the beef/chicken pastures, moving/setting up tarps on the chicken tractors, and moving the beef into the "summer" grazing pasture.

At the farm, the big project this week is moving 3,500 chickens to pasture. As long as everything goes a planned, these chickens will be featured in the first bag of the Summer Share (just 6 weeks away). The chance of freezing temperatures overnight is still pretty high, so we'll be watching the weather closely and bleeding water lines overnight to prevent frozen/cracked water lines in each of the chicken tractors. Then, in the morning, we'll reconnect the water lines so the chickens can have access to water during the day. This can be a tedious project, but it beats broken water lines, running to the hardware store and farming supply stores for more water lines, hoses and miscellaneous parts/pieces that need replaced.

Fun fact -- the chickens ate nearly 1,200 pounds of feed yesterday! They're literally little eating machines and growing fast.

Thanks

HOW TO CHANGE YOUR PRIMARY PICK UP LOCATION FOR A SPECIAL ORDER
With changes in schedules, working from home and/or new availability to pick up your FFM share at a different time, we've had an increase in requests about transferring special orders. With the way our process works, this is challenging to execute after the order is submitted in our system.

But, this is possible with your help BEFORE placing your special order . If you send us a request after your special order has been placed, we cannot guarantee that the order will arrive at the requested location.

Here's how you can change your primary pick up location for your special order.

Before you start shopping , you can update the "dropoff location" from the "Location" tab of your account. Choose the location (make sure it includes 2019-20) prior to placing your order and click save. After your location has been changed in your profile, you can shop as you would and process your order.

It's important to note that this will not revert back to the original location automatically. You will need to change this again for the following delivery week as needed.

**Ohio City Provisions is an exception to this rule. We are unable to accommodate switches to and from this location**
