Week 3 Highlights:

03/18, 08:30 PM EDT: The Teaching of Meditation - Swami Ma Radha Bharati
In this session, we will examine aspects of both teaching and guiding meditation. This
will include aspects of preparing oneself to guide meditations that are conducive to
meditation in others. There will be time for participants to ask questions as well as to
share from their own experience what they have learned that may help others to teach
and guide meditations. Throughout we will draw from the wisdom shared in other
sessions of this workshop.
Swami Ma Radha Bharati: A disciple of Swami Rama of the Himalayas since 1970, Swami Ma Radha Bharati was initiated into Sanyasa from Swami Veda in 2007. She joined the faculty at SRSG in India when it opened in 2003 and later served as Academic Director there for ten years. She is one of the Initiators in the Himalayan Tradition and a member of the AHYMSIN spiritual committee, as well as one of the international teaching faculty.
Currently, she serves through The Meditation Center in the USA with online guided meditations and silence retreats that reach initiates in AHYMSIN centers worldwide, in addition to other programming in the US. Formerly, she lectured on philosophy and ethics at the University of Hawaii and also colleges in Minnesota.
03/19, 10:00 AM EDT: Transmission - Shi Hong and Wong Yoong Khiang
The Himalayan Tradition is a tradition of transmission. One can say it is the core of the lineage. In this presentation the presenters will share their respective perspective on the subject.
Shi Hong met Swami Veda in Hong Kong in 2007 and became an initiate soon after that first meeting. He has been sharing the lineage’s teachings in East and South-East Asia. Since 2007 he has translated and published more than 10 of Swami Rama and Swami Veda’s books into Chinese. Prior to his retirement he worked in the field of international finance. Shi Hong is a mantra initiator in the
Himalayan Tradition and has been serving as AHYMSIN’s Senior Vice President since 2013. He retired from the banking and finance industry and currently lives in Hong Kong with his family.
Wong Yoong Khiang met the Tradition in 1991. He is a student of Swami Rama of the Himalayas and of Swami Veda Bharati. He is a mantra initiator in the Himalayan Tradition, a member of the AHYMSIN Adhyatma Samiti (spiritual committee) and the AHYMSIN Executive Committee. He is the center leader of the Himalayan Yoga Meditation Centre of Singapore (HYMCS). In addition, Yoong ji has taught internationally at several AHYMSIN affiliated centers. He continues to learn about Love.
03/20, 10:00 AM EDT: Questions and Answers - Swami Ritavan and Faculty
The last presentation of the workshop will bring the faculty together to discuss further the topic of Meditative Mind, Mantra and Voice. There will be an integration of all the previous sessions allowing time to answer questions that remain from those sessions. Swami Ritavan will be present at this session to give his blessings and his appreciation to all for participating in this workshop and supporting SRSG.
