BREWSTER DAY CAMP | July 18, 2021 | Vol. 40 Issue 11
Dear BDC Family & Friends, DCBDC

Week 2 started off cold and wet yet ended with warmer dryer weather as the sun finally came back! We saw some incredible creativity around campus as we dodged the rain drops creating rainy day fun with so many happy campers!

Week 3 is here, and with it, we celebrate BDC's GREEN and WHITE teams in a week long COMPETITION featuring our trademark good spirit. This week, we tip our caps to our normal one day tradition of GREEN and WHITE Day through creative competition in each program - all week long! We are thrilled to continue to bring back BDC traditions in ways that are safe and compatible with our special programing this summer.

Follow along on Facebook and Instagram to watch all of the friendly COMPETITION this week!

Sending you an abundance of Courage, Hope, Good Spirit & Peace!

Mask Wearing
All campers and staff will be required to wear facial coverings while entering campus, until they are in their cohorts, as well as indoors, off-campus, as needed, and while riding transportation.

Social Distancing
Campers and staff will socially distance themselves whenever possible. Program spaces are designed to facilitate 3’ of distance between cohorts. Indoor program spaces are designed to facilitate 3’ of distance between campers and staff. Use of communal space will be staggered, when possible, to allow for distancing and cleaning.

BDC offers Semi-Private Swim Lessons in our pool to campers enrolled in BDC programming. Certified Red Cross Water Safety Instructors coach your child for ½ hour of dedicated swim instruction after the camp day, from 4:00-4:30.

Making the most of a rainy day at camp!
Have you always wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater? We are excited to offer BDC campers and their families the opportunity to experience SCUBA diving in our pool. Discover Scuba Diving is an easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world.

All smiles at BASE this week!
BDC is thrilled to welcome rising 10th & 11th graders into our new Camper Leader Program for summer 2021! These Camper Leaders will participate in training sessions targeting social and emotional development, communication skills, and a variety of other life skills, then practice these skills with their peers during our 6-day or 3-day sessions.
