Pursuing a career change can certainly be daunting, especially with the economy changing so quickly around us. If you're still on the hunt for a summer internship, you might conclude that it's too late to make a big transition now, and start searching for something in your former industry.
Before you do that, we want to highlight other choices you have. This week, we look at people who have used the summer as a first step to a big change. However before you jump in, use this as an opportunity to do ProValues (or update it if you have already done it). School can offer an overwhelming amount of input from friends, career services, teachers, and recruiters regarding what is right for you. It is easy to waste dozens of hours pursuing careers that won't make you happy. Before going down a path, spend some time reminding yourself of what you value in a career. You deserve to make the right choice the first time!
