Three simple ways to give thanks

It's easy to let the upcoming holiday weekend fly by without stopping to think about its purpose. After all, you've got a lot on your mind - but that's exactly why you deserve to stop and take a breather! Read on for our thoughts on a few simple ways to embrace the spirit of Thanksgiving this week.

1. Focus on what's going right: during this time, it can be easy to focus on finals, recruiting, and graduating, which seems daunting at times. But we're pretty convinced that if you stop and think about it for just a few minutes, you can come up with a few things that are definitely going right. Whether it's something as simple as finding a new favorite coffee shop, or as significant as making a real networking breakthrough, stop and reflect on it, allow yourself to feel happy about it!

2. Connect with family and friends: whether it's the people you grew up with, or your adopted school family, make an effort to express your gratitude to the folks who are helping you get through this crazy time. Further, let them know that you not only appreciate their help now, but also look forward to connecting with them more when you have a bit more free time!

3. Get some rest: treat yourself to a little rest & relaxation over the Thanksgiving weekend. Resting your body and clearing your mind will allow you to go back to school re-energized and ready to tackle the end of the semester!
